All,
I travel for business and picked up scabies at a low end hotel when a better was not available (never again - I will sleep in my car first).
It took me months to figure out that was what it was - I had bed bugs too from that horrific place - and when I finally got rid of the bed bugs the scabies were there as well.
I wanted to share my story - they are going away - but there is solid medical research out there for this horrible parasite.
Do a search on the following:
Comparative Study of Efficacy of Oral Ivermectin Versus Some Topical Antiscabies Drugs in the Treatment of Scabies or you can look up the article via the following link.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4225905/
Notice a few things: You can buy Ivermectin for less than $ 7.00 on Amazon.com - durvet Ivermectin paste. So if you like most of us have idiots for doctors you can self-treat. I've done so twice and my skin burrows are almost gone.
NOTE TOO -
Extra-Virgin Coconut Oil applied directly to the skin kills 100% of the scabies mite. Not clear from research if it kills the eggs too.
I also do believe that spreading the bed with diatomaceous earth will kill the mites and allow much better sleep. It is not true that it can hurt your lungs or eyes - true scientists will tell you that DE (make sure it is food grade) will only be a cleanse for you - I take some internally daily as a colon cleanse.
Hope this research and info helps others suffering.
