-Yes, what we have done at this forum for a decade. But the debate belongs to other forums, there are loads of them. Thank god there is a support forum like this.

As I have told you all these years; I had a hell of a detox when I took over 60 mg of iodine. 3 months. Then the fog lifted, symptoms of hypo thyroid became history. And other issues.
Others may call it a side effect.. but what I know is that my core temperature wend from 36 C to 37 C in one year; and from then on minor issues with health, which I can live with.

There are a few that try to make a point of the fact that Trapper make / sell SSKI .

Lugols solution that I made; Iodine crystals, potassium iodide. 5% of the former, 10 % of the latter. In distilled water. Make sure you buy the pharmaceutical grade or chemist grade; as these are 99++% pure.
Now I have Iodine for the rest of my life, unless I live to the age of 100:)

Then please do follow your basal instinct and STOP drinking alcohol. It destroys brain cells, causes liver damage, is addictive and is BAAAAD for you.

I have had several good friends who have died from cirrhosis of the liver caused by alcohol.

Drink pure mineral water instead of alcohol.
