Mirena symptoms
Hello everyone,
I had been having a lot of anxiety problems and panicattacks of which I couldn't find the cause of. My digestive symstem also changed a little and I had more frequent bowel movements as before. I went to my doctor and he diagnosed that I had the dientemoebe fragilis
parasite and gave me something for this. My anxiety problems and panic attacks didn't go away and I still had bowel problems. An anxiety attack felt like hot flushes, the ones you get when you're in menopause, the thing is that I'm only 20 years old, so that can't be it. I also lost my appetite and wasn't able to eat a lot, I lost a lot of weight because of this and had looser stools as before.
After a few months of these symptoms I started thinking about the Mirena, my doctor told me this couldn't be the cause because I should have had the symptoms before. (I had the Mirena at this point for about a year) I got the mirena removed about 1,5 month ago and didn't feel better right away. I got my period 2 weeks ago after not having it for about a year and it was very painful, but it felt good that my body was getting its normal functions back. I noticed that my anxiety went away and I had more energy, my digestion also improved a lot. But now I'm feeling bad again, I don't have a lot of energy, a bit of anxiety, loose stools and sometimes I get shivers. Can the mirena still be the cause of this even though I got it removed 1,5 ago? I went to my doctor to get my blood tested and he told me everything is fine and that I should feel okay, but I don't. It's not like I'm not able to do stuff but this anxiety does affect me in everyday activities and I just want to be the old me again and not wake up sweaty and anxious in the morning.
So my question is, can these things be caused by Mirena even though I got it removed?
And can bowelproblems also be a cause of Mirena/hormonal changes?
