I'm not sure if I can flush again because I just found out that I have a 1.4
cm stone. I had an ultrasound last week because I was in pain and had a mild fever after flushing. I didn't get that big one out with the flushing, and with a stone so large I'm more concerned than in the past about getting something stuck, but i'm trying to look into whether I can continue flushing or not.
Right now I'm wondering if there's some sludge stuck or something small that they couldn't see on the ultrasound that's stuck. Normally I would just flush again to push out anything that's stuck, but I don't feel like I can now because of the big stone.
If I eventually decide I can flush, I think I'd have to figure out a way to not have that electrolyte imbalance. Maybe I'd schedule an IV on day three, maybe I'd be taking electrolytes, etc. But there would be risk involved for me both because of the electrolytes and because of the large stone.
By the way, I think I took too much alka seltzer gold, and that was part of the problem. I had signs of excess potassium, and too little of other things. I may have done better if I took a smaller amount, and also added some other electrolytes like calcium.
