I have also heard that the digestive juices start flowing once you put something in your mouth. I had a slip up on day 11 (planned to go 21 days) and I actually ended up eating something. I was one of the food obsessed ones though. I made it to day 11 struggling to resist temptation. I ate 3 of the smallest bites of a potato omelette, and what you said was true for me in my case. I decided not to give up then, and now my curiousity of tasting/eating food again, has completely subsided. I do not need or crave food the way I did up to day 11. I am on day 13 now, and I am in unbelievable control of my appetite and my food cravings, daydreams, fantasies, etc. On top of all that, I also feel that when I eat again, I want to put healthy food into my system, and not fried egg omelette! So the last 2 days (after having some food) have been the easiest days by far on the cleanse.
Not a suggestion to anyone though, I would have much rather done the whole thing, clean of anything at all, but I would have cut it shorter had I resisted the food. I am so certain I can continue the next 2 weeks for me with ease now.
I don't, however, taste anything at all, and I will refrain from that too. If you can resist, by all means do so!
Hang in there, in due time you will feel fantastic and will be able to experiment and EAT the new foods you create!
