Hair loss! Blood plasma results

Hi everyone! I've been suffering from hairloss for over two years after stopping birth control. I have a really itchy scalp!!
I've just had my plasma blood results back which I need help interpreting
Zinc - 12.5 umol on reference ( 11.5 - 20)
Copper - 12.7 umol on reference ( 12.5 - 25)
Manganese - 11.3 on reference ( 9 - 40)
Iodine - 103 ug

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,285,315There are theoretical links between low Zn and hair loss. There is also the possible issue of heavy metals competing with Zn.
Low thyroid can cause hair loss. Iodine is required to make thyroid hormone. Don't rely on just TSH test for thyroid! Include at least Free T3.
Learn about DHT. That might be more of an issue with male pattern baldness, but I think a few females can get it as well.- Re: Hair loss! Blood plasma results Abbyg

This is a reply to # 2,285,335Thanks for your reply - do you think that the zinc levels could be low enough to justify abnormal hair loss though?
I've had a scalp biopsy and it said no signs of androgenic alopecia. In fact my scalp looked healthy apart from some fungal spores. My hair is shedding a lot though!
My ft3 levels are 4.3 on ref 3.5 - 6.8
And ft4 13.3 on reference 12 - 22

I don't know.
The thyroid does not look bad but you could take some related supplements to bump it up.
The body needs iron to use thyroid hormone. I don't know if that could be involved. I think Fe also helps to break down DHT.
Biotin is thought to be involved I think it inhibits the DHT related enzyme.
