Iandthou,
I love cashews too. My ND has thought me that nuts should be alternated daily. If you are eating cashews one day, next day eat almonds, for example. You did a lot of cashews in one day. Cashews are ok but don't over do it with almonds, they have high content of Vitamin E, and needs to be eaten in one ounce paper day.
There are many reasons that you crave fats.
1. Adrenal Fatigue
2.
parasite infection in your gut
3. Lack of Endorphins
4. Lack of Dopamine
5. Fatty Acid deficiency
6. Not eating enough
7. Replacing savory cravings with nuts
8. Laziness in preparing a meal
So here is what I do.
a. End your meal with an Avocado
b. Drink a smoothie with coconut pulp and water, add other fruits
c. Keep a set time for eating nuts between two meals. I eat small amount of nuts or seeds between my breakfast and lunch. Then in the afternoon between lunch and dinner.
d. Eat savory things like kale chips, dehydrated crackers, small dehydrated pizzetas, etc.
e. Eat nuts as single snack meal
f. Take probiotic pills or natural probiotic like Kimchi, sauerkraut, fermented veggies, etc.
g. Eat sprouted Moong or Moothh beans
I hope this helps, it is all about try and learn.
I would love to know what works for you.
