Hello everybody! This is my first post,I am 26 years old and truly desperate!
Looking back, all of my symptoms started 2 years ago when I started to experience itchiness and hives all over my body (later I would discover that this was connected with food) and for the first time in my life I started to have seasonal allergies.
I did't think much about these symptoms because I could easily live with them.
The real hell started about three months ago with a dull pain under my right rib (occasionally it will move under my left rib and pain in my lower right quadrant and then I started to have debilitating brain fog (i experience this as I am not 100% in reality, I feel disconnected, just like after drinking alcohol), dizziness, fatigue tinnitus and joint pain, muscle spasms and cramps and no matter how much I sleep I am still tired.
I've seen a total of 5 gastroenterologists, had colonoscopy, endoscopy, 4 abdominal ultrasounds, tested my thyroid, tested for celiac disease, my cortisol level, calcium and B12 level, had a stool test and two CBC. Nothing came up, except mild inflammation in the terminal ileum and the last CBC test showed I had low white blood count and high lymphocytes.
The doctors don't have much answers for me, except that I have IBS, but none of the IBS medication helps me and if I try to tell them about my brain fog and other symptoms, they don't even let me finish the sentence, saying this has nothing to do with my abdominal pain.
I tried to keep an anti candida diet but failed a few times because I was loosing too much weight and I was already skinny (lost 9 kg in the last two months), but nevertheless I eliminated refined
Sugar and my diet consists pretty much of chicken meat and vegetables like zucchini or bell peppers and sometimes I might eat a fruit, potatoes or rice, but I feel that anything I eat I react to it.
Is it possible to have some sort of chronic
parasite or virus infection (having in mind the CBC results) that could've caused leaky gut,
food allergies and brain fog.
I also took birth control pills for 5 years but stopped them a month ago.
Did anyone here experienced something similar?
Please help, because there are days when I think about if it would be better to end this because it is impossible having a life feeling half dead everyday!
