It's a bit scary to just say 'no'. Just as scary as if we say something is right for everyone.
I have a colleague in Hong Kong who has had mites for five years, possibly advancing to Morgs as he had bundles of fibres coming out of his skin.
After 4 months on Cipro he has no symptoms left. No fibres either.
We all have different parasites, we all have tried different things.
I was not asking if anyone thought it would kill parasites. I was sharing the articles that give some anecdotal evidence that it does.

This is a reply to # 2,279,140try reading up on Cipro poisoning before you even consider this junk. The warnings are serious. I know. I had a stroke and have a serious tendon rupture and cannot walk due to to the crap.

This is a reply to # 2,279,152I did read up on it. I also spoke at length to someone who has taken it for four months.
He started to develop an increased heart rate. So, he dropped the dosage down by a third and continued with no problems at all.
It is a shame your experience caused you physical problems. This does not mean it will do the same for everyone.
You had the option of dropping your dose as well.
By the way, this 'crap' kept my son alive for a few years longer than he would normally have lived with a serious genetic lung disease.
So, we all have our stories to tell. I am not angry with you because of my story. You dont have the right to be angry with me because of your story.
This forum is for sharing ideas about prescription drugs against parasites. My post was valid.
Your post was blunt and a bit mean-sounding. Take some time to write a few extra words if you feel strongly about something and dont make it personal for you or for me.

This is a reply to # 2,279,161Beginning to sound like a spam post. I took 1 tablet and so reducing the amount is not possible. I had a stroke after 1 capsule and not for you being you just loveeeeeeeeeeee the crap but for others who may be reading there are countless stories on people who are suffering in excess of 6 years for taking the stuff for less than a week. One woman wrote it was the worst 5 years of her life and 18 years later is still suffering.
Besides the cost involved you become disabled and harmed. The tendon pain started in my left arm combined with the electric shocks, circulation problems, anxiety and more.
Number of people died who wrote to me and they had strokes they never recovered from. Many died within 1 month.
Cipro should never ever ever be taken and is the most dangerous drug on the net.

This is a reply to # 2,279,223Cipro has saved countless lives, including my own. Sure, some people have had adverse reactions, but that's true for just about everything. This is not a case of black vs white or good vs bad. There are a lot of varying shades of gray. I honestly don't understand the extremist view points many CZ users have. There's a certain group that says herbs always cause scattering, never use herbs, only meds. There's another group who is completely against any and all meds, saying it's all poison. Where's the happy medium? Where's the logic and rationale? Why such a fundamentalist outlook? Are the rest of your life choices/viewpoints also of an extremist nature? The goal is to get well. We're not all cut from the same cloth, so it stands to reason that not everyone should use the same treatments. To each their own. If Cipro helps thousands of people worldwide everyday, why would you want to take that away? Do you have any idea what life was like before Antibiotics ? It was quite gruesome and people died from small wounds and respiratory infections, among many other ailments. We've come a long way, stop trying to send us back. We can all thank Antibiotics for increasing life expectancy across the board. This is fact. Don't like gay marriage? Don't get gay married. Don't like Antibiotics ? You don't take them, but stay out of everyone else's business. Live and let live.

I am not talking about one or two having problems, we are talking about so many that there are class action law suits against the company and as much as I hate the FDA they too are posting on long term effects such as tendon ruptures.
So take your cow manure elsewhere.
The people have a right to know that people are dying and being disabled for life from this freakin antibiotic. There are other alternatives and no one ever has to take cipro.
If I had known what I do today I would be thankful someone enlightened me.

This is a reply to # 2,279,294My point was that there are many people, myself included that would have died if it were not for Cipro. That is all. If someone is taking Cipro and they are not deathly sick already, then of course they should look for safer alternatives. Cipro is for the very ill. Cipro is for deadly infections, the kind that kill. I don't condone taking it long term. I never said that. Anyone taking any Antibiotic long term should really get a second opinion. There may be safer alternatives. I didn't even acknowledge the question about it being used for parasites. I'm merely pointing out that the extremist viewpoints of the All or Nothing mindset of CZ is harmful to everyone that comes here to learn how to help themselves. There is a vast gray area when it comes to medicine. Not every treatment will work for every body. Stop speaking in such absolute terms. Cipro is not killing everyone. It does save lives. My tendons are fine.
Btw, how would anyone know they don't like your post unless they read it first? Your analogy has a giant hole in it. Try again.
And just so my view point is loud and clear, DON'T TAKE CIPRO JUST FOR SHITS AND GIGGLES. It's for life-threatening bacterial infections--the kind that will kill you if the proper Antibiotics are not administered ASAP. This is a reply to # 2,279,302Did you read Dr. Mercola's article or the Natural News Article of the FDA post? If it helped you fine, but it is being prescribed like candy by idiotic doctors who are getting kickbacks. That is a given. You and others have a choice.
Now if the experiences of myself and hundreds of others does not involve you, then in the end you have a choice but don't come back here crying you just had a stroke.
I took one capsule and did not realize I had a stroke and lost my vision for 2 hours. I thought I had vision problems. I continued to take them for 3 more days and went to an eye doctor and he said nothing was wrong and referred me to a neurologist who told me I already had a stroke. I laughed. He convinced me to have an MRI which disclosed 2 strokes not 1.
I had multiple complications and planned on retiring but still hung on. two months ago I had a major tendon rupture in my knee and to this day have not recovered and lost my business.
Thankfully I have other income but still it is a great financial loss and the pain is unbearable.
It is my goal to inform as many as I can. I am going to post a testimony here for you to read and for others too:
I've been following ur posts n wanted to let you know ...that when I was 38 I had taken cipro for 2 weeks straight...then a few months later my body collapsed...I couldn't hold my head up it just fell to the side..couldn't lift my arms I had no strength..went to drs n they ran all sorts of tests ..they all came bad negative ..so I went to another doc n they said mayofacial pain...I hurt so bad..this went on for months n I ended up going to a chiropractor who does keenisolgy n deals with nutrition n it took 5 yrs befor I felt okay...I'm not 100% but at least I can still function ...it was the worst 5 yrs of my life!!! Countless others wrote to me and two wrote about their moms dying from strokes they had just like me in their sleep. So there are other choices, consider the side effects and go to another med if you must.

Educate yourself on ways to present information so that people feel they are given the information in a sensible manner.
The method you are using to present your information is being tainted by your personality and anger.
Show respect for others on this forum.
It is not all about you and your suffering. I can see you have suffered terribly from your body's reaction to the drug, but you are filtering delivery of the information through rage and righteousness.
It's not healthy.
It is also what lies behind the making of trolls when people with this delivery are challenged.
Do not spoil the chance to share your experience with the rage you personally feel.

It is not anyone's "Job" to react badly when questioned or disagreed with or shown that someone chooses to trial something and take responsibility for the consequences if their body also reacts badly.
To do so would make that person and a##hole.
Nobody wants to talk to a##holes and I am sure you don't want to be seen as one. Because that would make nobody want to bother to read the important information you have provided and make decisions accordingly.

My problems began while on 2 months of Cipro. I believe it led to a systemic poisoning/weakening of my body, and left me vulnerable. Towards the end is when I got problems.

This is a reply to # 2,279,286I was doing better after two months and decided to fast. I had handled the electric shocks and the tendon pain was minor and then suddenly without warning I had this large crack in my knee, like bone breaking. I could not move. I was stuck in the hall and no way to move. I was alone and did not know what to do. I thought if I could just get to the bed and scream. Then I remembered I had coffee cooking on the stove so with everything I had I had to move to the kitchen using a stack of large tupperware containers. I used them like a walker.
The doctor came and gave me an anti-inflamatory injection and by the second day I could move barely. 4 days later I could walk with a cane and huge huge pain.

Perhaps if you write your story like you have in these last two posts, then take some time and edit it so it makes a really good presentation of what actually happened to you. The facts. Then the story will be ready for you to send and post whenever you want.
It won't be tainted by emotional responses that bring too much anger so that people react to the anger and not the experience you had.
People can read it and get the facts of your experience.
You would also have the story to share with newspapers, magazines or lawyers if you choose to record it for the future.
I'm afraid you still have to accept that there are some people who have been saved by this drug or who had their lives prolonged by it.
Also some who will never have a response to it apart from positive.
We all have to make our own choices.
I chose to allow it and got my son for an extra two years before he died from lung disease at age 20.
Please consider my words without reacting through anger.

This is a reply to # 2,279,286Okay, so we have been on cipro (1000mg daily) and metronidazole (1200mg daily), while also taking 30mg of albendazole daily for our bird mite infestation.
It feels a little like a "fish fog" has settled on my brain. Reading is a little difficult and following a normal TV show takes my full concentration now - like they speak so fast that I have trouble keeping up.
We are on day 11 of the Antibiotics and plan to go 20 days. Definitely concerned about the cipro flox reaction, but the alternative is to continue to have bird mites in our bodies and the longer we have the bird mites, the more deeply embedded they become (we've had them for 15 months now).
I can see how it doesn't make sense to use cipro for something as common as a UTI, but when you reach our level of desperation, there aren't a lot of other options. We've tried 100+ external treatments which have all failed (some have helped, but the goal is to be 100% cured and not 95%).
