Archus, of course you can start anytime, and this time-ish
might be perfect for you--but I think there is really something to be said for the majority of us, for beginning on the new moon. Definitely do not start in the last three days of the "old moon"- because this is a time of completing old things (things from
the last 25 days)
but the new moon way of making things, will give you so much more depth and phyto-nutritional breadth and all that, to your whichevers.

to bathe in the full moon... Now that was a crock to serve to venture capitalists!
