If you want to feel *really* bad real quick you can do that. I hope I said the exact opposite?

Subcutaneous injections are what every diabetic does several times a day. It's about as noteworthy as eating a piece of bread, unless you have no hands in which case self-injection is indeed quite a remarkable feat :-) Add some procaine - available in every pharmacy for single-digit US-dollar amounts. Not strictly necessary but may help a little bit with the inevitable red swelling after an injection. HARMLESS! It's there for an hour. You just injected something under your skin, of course your body shows a reaction.
If you are afraid of getting an allergic reaction, which in the worst case (Stevens–Johnson syndrome) would be deadly, sometimes even if it happens in a hospital (did I frighten you? my pleasure!), do this: Before doing the full injection, inject just a TINY drop under your skin. Wait 5 minutes. If nothing noteworthy happens, go ahead. Should this piece of advice still not be sufficient to prevent you from killing yourself, tell your heirs suing an anonymous person on the Internet is futile, your own fault if you follow random people's (who don't even try to pretend they are an expert) advice :-)
