Not really. I think I still ate some foods that could have potential gluten cross contamination. Some foods are processed by equipment that also processes wheat. One of such foods on my diet is oatmeal. Even though it is non gluten grain, it could have a cross contamination. I just have to look for specific brands that say non gluten. Also, I heard that oatmeal, even though non-gluten grain, has proteins that are similar and related to gluten. So the conclusion is, if gluten free diet is not working for you, try to eliminate all grains as well. This includes rice, buckwheat, and oatmeal.
Another thing that seems to be harmful to the gut, is dairy. Lactose is one of the reasons and many adults do not produce sufficient amount of enzyme lactase. Also, proteins like casein, found in milk, can have a bad affect on brain.
I am working on eliminating dairy, today was the first day of my dairy free diet. I want to develop a diet rich in raw veggies and fruits. It is the most optimal diet for gastrointestinal health.
What are your symptoms like, by the way?
