Hi Archus, I am already a vegan who avoids processed sugar, high fructose corn syrup,
preservatives ,
food coloring , pickles, and junk food. Only
Sugar additive I eat is soy sauce. But you are right, I will hunt for more fasting videos. I am going to watch ten a day.
Hi #111882, an eating disorder is defined by feeling regret and loss of control after eating in a certain time frame (I forgot how long you are supposed to feel regret for. Weeks or months), so that is why I think I have an eating disorder. My reasons for fasting include spiritual enlightenment, detox, feeling good, longevity, achieving my long-term goals, and curing three of my illnesses: a skin disorder, hypothyroidism, and allergies. Losing some weight would also be nice. As for your suggestion of self-calming exercises, I agree that it works, because studies say that forgiveness makes you change more, although when you have just eaten, it is hard to find that feeling of peace. I will try this now, but hopefully I never have to try this for an eating episode again. Wow, I feel a sense of peace washing over me trying it out. Thanks. I usually eat after a whole day, so I guess that is intermittent fasting already.
