This is a reply to # 2,255,784But notice they are appealing to their works there as the reason the Lord should save them, not the blood and righteousness of Jesus Christ. They are trying to be saved by their own works which will never work.
The will of the Father is to believe on the Son and trust in Him alone for salvation.
John 6:28-29
28Then they said to him, “What must we do, to be doing the works of God?” 29Jesus answered them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in him whom he has sent.”
When our trust is in the blood and righteousness of Jesus alone, apart from our works, then there will be good works but those good works will be by the grace of God at work in us and not something we can boast about as those in Matthew 7 are doing.
Ephesians 2:10
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.
1 Corinthians 15:10
But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is with me.

i see your point but it is still twisted. jesus said to do BOTH. its not true that he did not know them because of their trying to save themselves. he didnt know them because they were worshipping the wrong jesus.

This is a reply to # 2,255,905No problem! I also just read about what you are going through with that brown recluse bite. Sounds horrible!
For five years we lived in a condo with a brown recluse infestation. I had a low immune system and my daughter was a young child, so we were both really at risk. I don't think I really knew how dangerous they were until we moved out. I was constantly killing them. They'd be on our couches, and everywhere. My husband had a traveling job and one time we were gone for seven months. They of course loved that being recluses. We interrupted their party when we finally got home and as my three year old daughter ran for her toy box, I saw one by one crawling out of it.
Thankfully we never got bit that whole time. But our neighbor got bit on her face. She did botox for it. I guess that worked but that seems like that would be bad in other ways.
We always heard that trying to get rid of them any other ways other than by glue traps wouldn't work, but I don't know if that's true or not.
We moved and did everything we could not to bring them with us.
I hope this clears up soon for you! And you get your roof repaired.

i think this one came to us in storage, since the house is big enough we no longer needed it.
borax. i use borax all around the house, in the laundry, cleaning carpets, etc. the only bugs we ever see in the house while doing that are dead ones.
thanks for reminding me about the sticky traps. i probably should put one down in a few places. the kids are healthy but no thanks to any more of this.- Re: If I died today...quote vektek

Borax is a good idea. I wish I could use borax for laundry but we are on septic and borax is not suppose to be good for that.
We have a lot of wolf spiders in the house we are in now. Even though they creep me out too, we don't usually kill them since they are good for killing brown recluses and other dangerous spiders.- Re: If I died today...quote refreshed

This is a reply to # 2,255,955God's creatures are fascinating to watch. We just recently got a female companion for our male bunny that we've had for four years. From day one, he began to let her know he was the boss. She complied for a little while and everything was paradise and sweet snuggles. But over the last couple of days, she has decided she's boss, and trying to do to him what he does to her, but she's a whole lot smaller. He's not having it, so it's war-time and she's a stubborn little thing and not backing down. The bunny experts say don't try to interfere, don't separate them, just let them figure it out on their own. I just don't want to see the female get hurt since she's so much smaller, but she's got the nails. lol It's all out war right now as I write this. :(

This is a reply to # 2,255,982Doc, nobody hates each other here. We have all been together for a long time. We are comfortable with being neighbors or like family. You just have to know deep inside that just because we disagree on some issues does not mean we would not help one another or be a good Samaritan. No need to try so hard. :)
That is why a church family is good for everyone. Somewhere you can agree with most things that are really important. Somewhere you can relax, with little or no debate. But here in the debate forum, where there is so many ideas and beliefs...we just all agree to still love each other even if we have huge disagreements.
It's all about agape love. Which is not romantic love...or friendly love. It's balanced, giving love. It remains when all other love fades.

This is a reply to # 2,256,149Sorry, I am being oversensitive. After Bill died I was tested and needed a quadruple bypass. But I am recovered, I didn't have a heart attack. Just angina. It is gone now. Good surgeon.
