... ah, OK, I haven't read the Bible in its entirety. It turns out to be not such a practical book, then, sorry I do not mean to be disrespectful, but if I could, I would necessarily amend it to talk more about women, people in general, and their basic needs. The Koran's fast is 12-16 hrs and kind of 'Ok' for anyone, since then in the night they eat and drink. .... which always puzzled me, it feels to me natural to do the opposite ... just saying.
'no-no' was my common sense. The Web turns out not to be so helpful always, either :) ... :(
I would do raw vegetable and GREEN juices, or as you stated broth. You can do green broth - lots of mashed or minced basil, mint, other greens and just soak them at room temperature for many hours, get the first raw infusion, soak again with now steaming water, and third - at the end boil them 10 min and soak again under lid overnight. This will give the most minerals and also chance to get phyto-nutrients in original raw state.
Don't feel bad about dextrose and saline, it is a mere life-sustaining intervention, you can fruit and water melon fast for days now, if you weren't breast feeding. I'd think breastfeeding will require at least lots of carrot juice and greens to get you back on track. But you can still do fruits with greens. Saline did not replenish all the minerals for certain.
Good luck!
