Well as some of you know my presence on this forum has been sporadic at best for quite some time now. I'm just now going through my inbox and I found this gem. Phoebe_adq is a long time poster, we haven't heard from her for a while. This message is dated 22 months ago so she messaged me to alert me of it's presence as it is buried at the end of a 7 year old thread...
Here's Phoebe's posting history. I'll follow this post with a few copy/pastes of some other highlights of her journey...
And Phoebe, honey, if you read this.... RIGHT ON!!!!!! So happy for you :-)

Just listened to Dr. Flechas radio interview -- it bro... RRR Educational Phoebe_adq 8y † Cross †
I am not an overly emotional person, and very few things bring me to actual tears, but when he started talking about his patients with PCOS having regular menstrual cycles, it gives me hope -- more than anything else I've looked into over the last 15 years -- that one day soon, I'll be "normal". I won't have to worry about uterine cancer because the cleansing fuction of my uterus isn't working properly. I won't become a diabetic because the insulin resistance will go away. My brain will work properly -- I'll feel smart again. My energy will finally be what it's supposed to be for the first time ever.
Could it really be so simple that my PCOS, my insulin resistance, could all go away with a bit of iodine?
Can my diabetic family (4 of the 7 of us are insulin dependant, 2 more have insulin resistance) be helped (not cured, just helped to lower their insulin needs) by something so elemental?
Can this basic nutrient be the thing that helps my friends who are also PCOS, or have other fertility challenges?
How many of my friends and clients are going to benefit from this (I'm in the process of becoming a certified with my biofeedback machine)?
I am in shock and utter amazement at the damageIodine deficiency can cause.
If anyone has not listened yet, it's here:

I'll listen to the 50-min. program later today, then post what I found most interesting in both.
Have I thanked you all enough for pointing me in the right directions for my research?
If not: THANK YOU!!

doctor told me I had great breasts ~RN Phoebe_adq 7y
So why am I telling all of you?
Because it's due to my Lugol's intake. :)
Her exact words were: "You have the least fibrocystic breasts I've felt in a long time."
I am so excited. I'm 40 so anyone telling me I have great breasts is going to make my day. :) (Edited to add: I haven't had a yearly gyn visit/breast exam in 8 years.)
Last night, in preparation for the appt. I made a spreadsheet of my blood test results over the past 15 years, from when I first went for hormone testing because of infertility to March of this year, when I last had blood drawn.
It was very interesting to see the changes in my testosterone level (which for a woman, I had way too much of), my insulin level (I had insulin resistance), and my LH/FSH levels and ratio. She could see the changes in all three levels to "normal", and she asked, what are you taking? I told her I had only been taking Lugol's. She wasn't surprised, and she wanted to know more. She'd heard about it being used for diabetes.
Anyway, I am pleased to have even more proof thatIodine is good for me. :) Though I take it inconsistently, I know what I do take is still helping me not go backwards.

I'm in shock -- my hormones are normal
I thought I was having heart problems, so I made an appt. and had a bunch of tests run, including a chest x-ray. I have insulin resistance so they checked the insulin, and other related blood Sugar tests. I have PCOS, so I had them check FSH, LH, Progesterone and testosterone. I have a weak thyroid so I had them do a full thyroid panel. I have had high cholesterol in the past, and my blood pressure is higher than it's ever been, so I had them check my cholesterol.
Most everything came back normal. The only thing that is of concern is glucose tolerance, and it's only "slightly impaired".
I have not been on any medications for years. I've been very inconsistent with taking my supplements which support my endocrine system (thyroid and blood sugar). The only thing that I take regularly isLugol's Iodine and I use one drop of ylang ylang essential oil daily on my belly.
My fasting insulin is NORMAL after years of being high
My LH and FSH after years of being out of whack are NORMAL and at the right ratio
My testosterone after years of being high is NORMAL
My progesterone is at the right level for the day of my cycle after years of being low
I asked her in all seriousness, "Are you sure it was MY blood you tested??"
How does that happen? I have the old blood test results showing insulin resistance and PCOS. My guess is Lugol's, even though I've been inconsistent (when I take it, I use 8 drops, but it's not daily, sometimes not even weekly) and I haven't been taking any of the supporting minerals. I have a QXCI biofeedback machine, but haven't been on it regularly -- maybe once a month.
I have no other symptoms of impending heart attack, so I'm guessing the flutters are stress related. The high blood pressure may be stress related, too, and I'm going to work on that. I'm glad I don't have to worry about stoke or heart attack -- my dad started having heart issues when he was in his early 40s and I just turned 40 so I was definitely freaking out a bit.
I'm in shock -- I woke up thinking about it all night long. Holy cow, my hormones are normal after 20+ years of being crazy and I don't think I can say I have IR or PCOS anymore.
Thank you for this forum and for bringing to my attention all the wonderful things Lugol's can do!
