Lauren1223, I have absolutely no personal knowledge of Mirena or the terrible issues associated with it, but I have been working on managing crippling depression and anxiety for the past 3 years. I'm sorry that you're having issues, but congratulations on having the Mirena removed. Good for you!
It might be an option to consider establishing a "calming ritual" in the mornings. This could include the oil-pulling while making your juice, and working in some meditation exercises. Meditation isn't some mystical exercise reserved for Buddhist monks or other trained people. Meditation is simply calming the mind by any number of means - thinking an affirmative phrase, over, and over, while sitting quietly. "I'm okay, and okay is good enough," is what I used for many months. I did this while controlling my breathing (inhale to the count of 4, exhale to the count of 5), and "breathing in" the affirmation: "I'm okay, and okay is good enough."
EFT-tapping is also helpful at the onset of feeling anxious. This is also no great mystery. It's simply crossing your arms and either tapping your shoulders or lowering your crossed arms into your lap and tapping your legs using an alternating rhythm. Left-tap, then right-tap, then left-tap, then right-tap. The theory is that crossing the arms causes the hemisphere of the brain to cross, and tapping the associated areas stimulate the "balance" or "center" brain when both hemispheres are engaged.
There are many, many options of managing anxiety that don't involve medications. I'm sure that you'll find something that works well for you.
Best wishes to you
Meditation is just one of hundreds of management techniques for anxiety. I've found it helpful for me, personally, along with many, many others.
Best wishes to you!
