Please, return the forum listings to their original settings.
Threads that are nearly a decade old are pushing back newer discussions and it's extraordinarily confusing. The previous program was just fine - new messages could take a reader directly to the thread. In fact, "new messages" used to automatically display when visitors clicked "new message" without the reader having to scroll through an entire page of comments.
This new format isn't user-friendly, IMHO.- Re: new format UserX

If I were a jerk, I could go to a forum and sabotage it, by finding 5 or 6 lonnnng threads from the past, and just reply to each one, that would make the current front page of the forum look like ancient history to new viewers, lol :) Fortunately, I have better things to do, but some others.....- Re: new format hanna

This is a reply to # 2,218,841Every forum that has a moderator could check the last message and write the poster to post on the current page. I have done this for years but of course not on 100 forums. Now I do it mainly on non active forums.

This is a reply to # 2,218,880WOW, I check a few forums every day. Just did the VWT forum now I have to check the date of the post first and I had trouble finding anything new on the current page. Certainly does not work for active forums.

This is a reply to # 2,218,882Hanna, nobody has that kind of time or inclination to rearrange their respective forums. Moderating (at lst word) is a voluntary service to support this website. LOL!!!!
So........the new format is terrible. Each time the formars are tweaked, it doesn't always produce better results. Sometimes, it's just fine the way it is. Why keep trying to fix something that isn't broken?
