Two Days after taking Biltricide

Sunday evening I pulled something out of me, it was stuck, I thought it was a hair but it was about 2-4 inches in length, rubbery, flat and translucent (did not move). I'm 28 and I have never seen anything like this before nor have I ever had any stomach issues and I eat very healthy, take lots of vitamins and work out 5-6 days a week.
After telling my husband that I needed to go to the doctor the next day he mentioned that he had been really itchy after using the bathroom recently.
We went to the doctor and she prescribed us both one dose (two pills) of Biltricide. We gave the doctor stool samples on Monday, took our meds on Tuesday and it is now Thursday. The test results came back negative for both of us. Our dog was also tested and came back negative and she does not have any fleas. The Biltricide made me feel a little dizzy and my stomach cramped a bit but not too bad but only that night, I took the meds at 1pm.
So now I am freaked out. Was it a worm? Could it possibly have been anything else? What else could it be? It's not everyday you pull something out of your anus. I haven't seen anything in my stool in the past two days as far as I can tell and there has never been any blood. I am so scared that I could have had this for years and I may pass the whole thing or large pieces. I am also very scared that I or my husband could be reinfected and then get invasive worms (we could even have them but the meds are supposed to kill those too). I'm also scared it wont work but I wont know if tests come back negative.
I am thinking that maybe we got worms from about a month ago when our grill was not getting hot enough and we ate burgers that may have been undercooked. I am usually very careful about cooking my food well enough and I eat more chicken than beef and I never ever eat sushi or pork (except very rarely bacon). I know that it could have come from someone else not washing their hands and then preparing food but now I don't even know what kind of worm it is because the results were negative. I guess I will have to see a GI and do more stool samples and maybe blood work.
Has anyone ever found anything like this and it turned out not to be a worm? I read about some kind of mucus that can come from the intestines but what I saw really sounds more like a Tapeworm segment.
Also does anyone know how long it takes for biltricide to work? I read that it is effective about 95% of the time but no one says how long it takes to work. It's been over 48 hours now. How long does it take after the worm dies/is digested for all traces of eggs to be gone?
I'm scared to wear the same pair of pants twice. Scared to go to the bathroom, scared to eat, scared to have sex, scared to be naked. I wash my hands for several minutes everytime I use the bathroom.
I changed my sheets but should I throw away my comforter? The doctor only said to throw away bars of soap.

This is a reply to # 2,185,669Sounds like it could be. I wonder where I got my infection as well either raw meat, infected veggies, unclean takeaway food or my pets, I will wonder this forever.
If you have one worm, you most likely have more and I kind of doubt two pills of Biltricide will do the trick. From what I've read on this forum people with worms are almost always handed a negative test even when they have visible worms in their stool because apparently the lab either doesn't bother to look or doesn't test enough matter in your stool.
Skip herbal remedies, that's my advice for you. I did the herbs and now have scatter all throughout my body. Go straight to the meds! Look up ICU's protocols here on this forum.
If it's Tapeworm you'll want to start with a 7 day treatment of Niclosamide.

This is a reply to # 2,185,742Also, try to relax and take deep breaths. It's incredibly scary at first and rightfully so but it is what it is and you have to do your best to focus and try to treat and heal yourself in the best way you can.
Many physicians seem to be unaware of how to treat parasites correctly so it's good thing for this forum and ICU's protocols--enter them in the search box. You seem to be doing well with vitamins but you might also want to check out ICU's anti-parasitic vitamin protocol as well which includes garlic tablets, MSM sulfur, Zinc etc also helpful is D3 5000 IU which I just recently added and it has made a world of difference in how I feel.

You're lucky that your doctor prescribed any parasite drugs at all for you. Most doctors usually diagnose patients with "Delusional Parasitosis" & prescribe anti-psychotic drugs as a cure, which, of course, is a big dose of "BS". (lol)
Regarding your Rx for 2 Biltricide (Praziquantel) tablets: Drug guides usually show low-dose, one-shot, or short-term treatment plans. However, medical studies show high failure & reinfection rates with those methods ~~ that IMHO wouldn't kill a piss ant. (lol)
But there's no need to panic. Tapeworm infections are not contagious. You get them from ingesting infected food or infected fleas. And the dosage you took might be sufficient if you had a mild infection!

If you pass another worm or show signs in your stools that you're still infected, ask your doctor to prescribe Biltricide (Praziquantel), 600mg, 2 tablets, taken daily, for 3 days. I would suggest a different dosage & longer treatment period, but your doctor may balk because it differs from drug guides, which most doctors totally rely on.
If your doctor refuses a new Rx based on your negative stool test, let me know before you start the tapeworm protocol. I posted it 4 yrs years ago & am not allowed to edit it with updates & changes. I've drafted a revised version but just haven't had time to finish & post it.

I just want you to know that I found a 6 inch worm floating in the toilet on August 10, 2014. It sounds exactly like what you passed only mine had a tail. I couldn't tell if the head was attached but it didn't look like it. I spent the rest of the day googling information about and images of Tapeworms and I went to my doctor on Monday afternoon who didn't believe me until he'd seen a photo of it. He has run a lot of blood tests on me and I provided a stool sample on Tuesday morning. I'm waiting for the results.
From what I've been reading online, it seems like many people do have Tapeworms but have negative tests. Also, my husband had a random sleep seizure 3 weeks ago. Tape worms can get into people's brains and cause seizures! Our doctor was not interested in listening to what I'd read about on the internet though. I'm not ruling out that he has a parasite and it could have caused that seizure. Given the timeline of my passing this worm, his seizure, and the fact that we have traveled internationally and eaten different cuisines, anything is possible. In my case, I ate pork dim sum from a Chinese restaurant about three months ago. I really think that I might have picked up the worm from the dim sum. My husband ate there with me.
I have to take four Biltricide pills in one day. I am starting the medicine tomorrow. I too am scared of the G.I. side effects. I also have been taking a Colon Cleanse tablet for the past two days. I wish I had found this site and read about why I shouldn't have done that because I am worried that I have caused eggs to scatter in my system now.
What happened after you took the Biltricide? Did you eliminate any other worms or eggs? Did you have constant diarrhea or any other reactions? Are you feeling better now?
Other than very painful diarrhea from the Colon Cleanse herbs I took on Sunday evening and Monday, I have not seen any other worms or eggs since the one on Sunday morning.
I do want to add that for the past three months, my abdomen has been unexplainably bloated. I have mild nausea all day long and have woken up in the middle of the night feeling like vomiting. I've also been very, very tired this summer. Also, I just asked my husband and he has had no symptoms. Neither of us has had anal itching.
I'm 38 and in relatively good health although I do not work out as much as you do.
I hope that you are feeling much better and you never have to deal with this again.
