Hi, I ate a rare beef sirloin steak about 4 weeks ago and experienced diarrhea for a couple days afterwards. The following 3 weeks, I had chronic constipation with very dark brown colored stools, some mucus blood on stools, abdominal pain, a very bad headache, head tremors, burning feeling at night down the left and right side of the abdominal area and worms in my stool. My doctor gave me a course of laxatives and a 100mg dosage of mebendazole, which I took 9 days ago, I also took another 100mg dose 3 days ago as I was still seeing 2-8cm worms in my stool. I have been taking laxatives for several weeks and examining my stools, I am now getting blobs of cell like material with load of worms coming out of the cell like material, please see 1st photo.

2nd photo shows worms in stool and a sesame seed like object by one of the worms on the lower part of the left stool. On the 2nd photo the right object measures approx. 1cm long x 3-4mm wide, this object has a tiny hook on the right end and on the left end of this object is a rippled edge you can see this in the photo, it also has a round protruded feature shown about 2mm to the left of the hook described.

Originally, I had the mebendazole prescribed for a suspected case of threadworms. I had cotton like strands on the outside of the stool no more than 1cm long and a itchy bum with a crawling feel. I also had worms between 2cm-8cm long and upto 2mm wide, most were 1mm wide, the ones I seem to be getting now are 2cm-8cm long and either hairline width or 1mm-2mm wide. The mebendazole seems to have got rid of the suspected threadworms and the itchiness has almost gone. But, the other worms are still there, does anyone know what these might be, I also have about a dozen objects like the one in the 1st photo that come out in my stool and most of the cell like material have a few worms coming out of them.

I have had a severe headache for 3 weeks and my eyesight feels shaky when I read, so I am now wondering whether they have got into my head from wiping my eyes in the morning.

My doctor won't do a stool sample for the time being, and has upped the treatment to 100mg tablet of mebendazole twice a day for 3 days and then if that doesn't work to request a stool sample then. If anyone knows what these might be could you please let me know.
