This is in response to your PM to me regarding treatment for your Norwegian Crusted Scabies infection. Am posting this on the forum since others often ask about this topic.
Your high dosage & prolonged treatment with Valbazen has apparently created drug resistance & parasite mutation. Suggest you stop taking this drug post haste.
Mebendazole/Vermox targets roundworm/nematode infections in the GI tract only. Taking this drug would be pointless since you have a systemic bodywide infection.
Suggest you take only Ivermectin (no other meds) as follows:
-- Info for calculating dosage & ordering sites are covered in this protocol under Ivermectin (Stromectol): http://curezone.com/forums/fm.asp?i=1586882#i
-- If you opt for the Ivermectin horse paste, instructions on calculating dosage are covered in this protocol: http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=2176184#i
-- Take 1 dose of Ivermectin in the morning & 1 dose before bedtime, on an empty stomach, for 7 days. After the morning dose, wait 1-2 hrs before eating.
-- Then take 1 dose before bedtime for 7-10 days until symptoms subside.
If Ivermectin treatment doesn't cure your condition, then you have a different type of parasite requiring different meds.
Topical treatments for larva/cysts/crusted scabs in skin, scalp, & soft tissue are covered in this post: http://curezone.org/forums/fm.asp?i=2176184#i.
Good luck in your battle with the beasts!
Please post your progress & any questions within this thread rather than sending me PMs. That way, all your case info can be accessed in one location & others can share their experiences & offer suggestions.
Your PM To Me:
"I just read your posting from 2011 and haven't checked to see if you are still posting, but I will. It was the Albendazole Hair Loss Reasons w/Dual-Drug Protocol of Vermox & Valbazen posting that was so relieving and wonderful to locate after discovering lots of hair loss after 60 days of Valbazen treatment for Norwegian aka Crusted Scabies......and that after 5 plus yrs. of this ongoing hellish health/lifestyle nightmare.
Briefly, after literally 5 plus yrs. of tragically battling Norwegian aka Crusted Scabies with numerous and varied failed concoctions a group of us from Topix tried Valbazen.
For over 60 days I ingested 20ml-24ml of Valbazen suspension {your recommended dosage was only 3.5ml, but another suggested higher for 30 days; I did another 3o days because parasitic mite, egg-hatching, nymphs, etc. activity didn't cease completely} and all was well UNTIL HAIR LOSS ON SCALP, EYEBROWS, EYELASHES WAS APPARENT! I took Doxycycline and Amoxicillian and Praziquantel with the Val.
I stopped and started Metronidazole w/ all the other 3 now for 30 days upon recommendation as an alternative to the Albendazole and also that it would be good for stomach, swallowing, acid reflux problems. Mebendazole was not suggested at that time, 30 days ago, although I had in my files it as a non-hair-loss alternative to Valbazen if hair loss should occur. Also, it takes so long to receive this drug from overseas {USA doesn't offer it and only reputable & fast co. online is sending it from India & Sri Lanka}.
I thought after day 21 I had total kill-off w/ the Metronidazole, but come day 28 or so {did another week just to be sure} slight, and now heavier, movements/activities/tingles/ vibrations under skin are resuming. I am assuming the stoppage of Val allowed for more eggs to hatch in that 30 day period????
NEEDLESS TO SAY I AM TERRIFIED OF GOING BACK ON VALBAZEN DUE TO HAIR LOSS BUT FINDING YOUR ALTERNATING VERMOX W/ VALBAZEN PROTOCOL WAS/IS REASSURING!!!!
And I thank you so much for it and for all the apparent high-quality and numerous lists offered!
DO YOU HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE/SUGGESTIONS CONCERNING THE SPECIFIC BATTLE TO RID ONESELF OF SCABIES? I do NOT have Morgellons and yet I assume your Vermox-Valbazen protocol will ~~Great Spirit willing!!!~~~provide the ultimate and much struggled-for and prayed-for cure.
Now I shall go search out your other postings on curezone and hope you are still active. Again thanks for all the helpful and invaluable information, in that you know how painfully unhelpful and hurtful the medical establishment is on this life-changing subject.
Apologies for such a lengthy email...I appreciate your attention,
