I have been reading the posts by everyone which are extremely informative. I have spent entirely too much money on doctors who want to treat me for anxiety. I can clearly feel
parasites moving in my head and my neck.
I have had bad headaches, constipation, feel things moving in head face and neck, high blood pressure and tension in arm and headaches on one side of the body, and dead tiny worms coming from my nose.
After reviewing my symptoms here and at the CDC website, I am 100% positive I have neurocysticercosis. I am currently waiting on the results from a CAT scan and a stool test. As I can tell from reading your posts and my own experiences in doctors offices and multiple emergency rooms, there's a high probability I will die before I become diagnosed. The CAT scan initially showed signs of a cyst but the lab technician did not know he was looking for evidence of
parasites because my doctor does not believe me. He didn't even tell me the appearance of a cyst was there. I had to read the actual report to find out.
Because neurocysticercosis causes cysts in the brain, it appears it can be dangerous to treat without taking anti inflammatory medication along side it. Does anyone have any idea what the risk factor of ordering albendazole, which all the posts here say is the best, without taking anti inflammatory medication along side it. I am trying to find the best course of action to treat myself as this can lead to death and is a very serious parasitic disease. I am not thrilled with waiting a week for it but I will, I am just trying to get an honest risk assessment from anyone who may have been afflicted by this terrible disease.
I am seeing a specialist next week but if my symptoms are this severe and the CAT scan re-evaluation doesn't get me a diagnosis, I would prefer to take action now.
Thanks in advance for your responses.
