Hi guys!
I am pretty new around here and am really impressed about how helpful and informative this community is. Though I've learned a lot just by reading the posts of others, I'm trying to pinpoint the major cause for my bb and bo issues. I recently posted a pic of what I believe to be candida (two really long pieces of stringy mucus looking things) that I found after doing diet changes, supplements, etc. I think they are candida but am not sure. (if anyone could look at the pic it is in the
parasite forum and
Candida Forum .)
I have been constipated most of my life but in the last three years, after heavy bouts of drinking and junkfood after a major depression, I developed horrible breath (people can smell it from across the room) and bo. This is what really lead me to turn my life around. The things that make the breath much worse seem to be coffee, alcohol, sweet foods, and breads. The bb is always there however.
Around the same time I developed psoriasis, an itchy scalp that is not from dandruff, stomach rumblings (after EVERY meal), prolapse, proctitis, etc. Nothing I tried in the past helped me with constipation but I still maintained a relatively healthy lifestyle except for occassional chips and desserts. Bread has been kept minimal for the past year now. Fiber in the form of bran or any other health food is not good for my digestion, I've learned, and while it did increase the bulk in my stool, it did not get rid of all of it. It would swell my stomach and sit in there for way too long.
If I indeed have candida, what can I do to fix my lifestyle?
About two years ago I changed the way I eat, cutting out most alcohol, slowly eliminating coffee (which I rarely ever drink now) and have incorporated lots of fresh veggies, vitamins, mineral supplements, etc into my diet. I only drink water and sometimes green tea. For about 12 years I have been a pescatarian and so have not eaten meat but I do eat ample amounts of seafood. For a long time I was eating yogurt but have cut this out now that I am trying a candida diet. In the past I have tried and failed miserably due to cravings or just plain hunger.
CURRENT REGIMIN
Three days ago I began a new diet in which I have eaten nothing but salads with lemons, ginger and romaine lettuce. For breakfast I juice some apples, carrots,
Celery and lettuce. This diet has left me VERY hungry and I am quite thin as it is. To go along with this, I did many enemas and am using various types of laxatives including magnesium oxide, flaxseed (in my veggie juice), dolcolax (only when needed) and Linzess. Yesterday is when I noticed the two long strands.
For about two or three weeks prior I had been taking oil of oregeno, coconut oil, and magnesium along with B vitamins, D, K, and zinc which seemed to clear up something in my sinuses. Then I started taking goldenseal two weeks ago and vitamin e and milkthistle. Now I've added puadarco, and hawthorne berry. That was around the time I did a SIBO diet but this diet was too much for me and made me too dizzy, weak and sick. I work full time and go to school full time which leaves me very little time/energy for draining diets. I also did salt water flushes in which I believe I saw a liver fluke (I did this to help constipation and was NOT looking for parasites! I didn't know what it was at the time and was too freaked out to take a picture).
Does anyone have any recommendations on how to better detox myself while I try to get rid of my digestion problems and BB and BO?
What else can I do to detox my liver other than cleansing enemas, lemon, milk thistle, lots of water?
Also, are almonds, avocados and beans allowed on candida diet? I'm trying to eat more than just salad, lemons, apples, coconut oil and veggie juices since I am very active at work/school and am quite thin.
Lastly, I did a
coffee enema and found that after, my breath and skin smelled like coffee! Is this normal or could it be saying something about the health of my colon/liver?
Thank you so much in advance!
