I'm from The Netherlands, so we're neighbours.
Yes, I've been taking
Iodine for 2 years now. But no, my problems are not gone. But I'm a lot better.
No more allergies, ill less often and far less severe, almost rid of thyroid medication, candida gone, much improved moods, I feel warmer, far less pain, brain works better, breast fibroids have shrunk to about half by now, funny patches on skin are resolving, ..
But I'm not well yet: still have fibroids in my breasts, detox is very bad at times, I tire easily, I have less strength then others (but a lot more than before I started), ...
It keeps getting better. More good days, less painful tired days. My bad days now aren't nearly as bad as they were two years ago.
The highest I've taken is 5 gram of
Iodide with added
Lugols for the
Iodine (100 mg or so). I took that for about 5 months. That resolved a lot of problems that kept coming and going, like the candida and also my adrenals loved it. My thyroid became a lot more stable.
Then suddenly, about a month ago I think, the detox just got too bad on 5 grams. That was when I really started to take the fat soluble vitamins (A, D, E, K2) in dosages recommended by Weston Price. I read somewhere that vitamin A used to be prescribed for breast fibroids (can't remember where though). So maybe the high
Iodide combined with vitamin A was just detoxing me too fast? Whatever the reason, I lowered the
SSKI to a few 100 mg's. Don't know exactly how much, I just let some drip into my morning drink. I guess about 8 drops of
SSKI or so. Still a good solid dose. I need that for my thyroid. My thyroid is having the most problems with the bromide detox.
I'm on one grain of natural thyroid hormone to help my thyroid during detox. I'm still hoping to get off it completely after I've detoxed most of my toxins.
