I read what people were eating (and not) to control their odor on this site.
In the beginning I was very strict on the diet.
No: Sugar, white stuff (like breads and pastas), caffeine, red meat, nuts, milk products, beans, or fish. Smelly veggies like cabbage, onion, garlic, and broccoli were also cut out. One of the trigger fruits was apples so stopped eating them. Bananas were eaten sparingly because eating too many of them made me smell.
Yes: Fresh fruits and veggies. Chicken without the skin was fine as was water for drinking. Salt and pepper were also fine.
In the beginning, the odor got worse but kept at it. After being on the diet for 3 months, the odor was about 80-90% gone and the flatulence had reduced.
As time went by, I started slowly incorporating foods and found out some trigger foods. Ice cream and brisket make me reek for days.
The odor is about 99% gone but does come back just not as intensely before my menses.
A couple of things: 1) The odor will get worse before it gets better (probably the body detoxing) but hang in there 2) The more you cheat the longer it will take to control the odor. 3)It took a long time to get where your body is today and will take a while to heal. 3) Until a cure is found, what we eat is a means to **CONTROL** the odor. The odor will return if we go back to our old eating habits. 4) eat smaller meals and eat fruits as a snack 5) This controlled the odor but I can still make a room hot and humid.:(
There are some wonderful posts on what people eat to control their odor. That's how I developed what worked for me. Good luck!
