I didn't have enough room for enough strawberries to make it taste like I wanted. *BIG GRIN* I drank some and added more strawberries to fill it back up and blended again. It's YUMMY.
*per David Wolfe, you don't have to soak nuts when having with greens; the enzymes in the greens aid in the digestion of the nuts ... and these are ground.
I prefer smoothies to juicing ... #1. I'm lazy and don't want all the clean up with a juicer :D ... #2. My body needs the fiber that I'd be throwing away with juicing.
To turn this recipe into a smoothie, I'd 1/2 the ingredients. Try it both ways,,,,
Woah! This one really delivers. If you've never tried bee pollen before then it's time you did! If you're strictly vegan with no bee products at all, then this juice minus the pollen is still superb. Either way, be prepared for the energy rush without the come down!
It will keep you buzzing for hours!
Makes two large glasses.
Ingredients:
* 6 strawberries
* 2 apples
* 1/2 medium beetroot
* 200g baby spinach
* 1 long cucumber
* 1/2 head celery
* 1/4 lime (with skin)
* 1-2 tablespoons bee pollen (- preferably the fresh frozen, see tips below.)
1) Simply prepare and juice all of the ingredients as listed above, leaving out the bee pollen.
2) Pour the juice into a blender jug, add the bee pollen and then blend until the pollen is dissolved or at least broken down and no longer "separate".
3) Pour into glasses and marvel at the sunshiney glow around your juice that's about to hit your bloodstream!
4) Enjoy as a breakfast, snack or "carry-me-over" light lunch option.
RAW COACH'S TOP TIPS:
* My brand of choice for bee pollen is "Percie du Sert" (pictured above) which is sold in the UK by Kiki at kiki-health.com. It's a fresh frozen pollen - juicy, succulent and unlike anything you'll buy dried in a tub or bottle. See their web site for the full low down on this amazing (and delicious) superfood - kids will love it too!

This smoothie recipe is a twist on my favourite classic green smoothie of mango and spinach. This one, which makes about 3 pints, has a much "deeper" flavour with many layers and really is something quite special. Enjoy!
Ingredients:
* 1 bag spinach
* 1 cup pure water
* 1 ripe mango (medium sized)
* 1/4 ripe pineapple (medium sized)
* 3 Medjool dates
* Small bunch of fresh coriander (cilantro)
* 3/4" piece vanilla pod
Directions
1) Simply process all ingredients in your normal blender or Vita-Mix until fully blended, and the vanilla is completely broken down.
2) Serve in a tall glass

This is absolutely my best concoction yet! YUMMY! Full of all nutrition including protien from the chia, pecans and chlorella.
**Adding cilantro and chlorella is a bit of heavy metal cleansing. Cilantro draws metals out of storage. Chlorella binds with metals to escourt it out of the body.
Yes, it's been a week of coconut smoothies for me -
1) Because I love them
2) Because they are super- healthy
3) Because they make the perfect breakfast or brunch, especially after a work out.
One of the things I love most about these is that they are so quick and easy to make, and you can really taste the goodness in every sip - plus they fill you up!
Ingredients
* 1 young coconut
* OPTIONAL: 1 Tbsp of your favourite green powder
Directions:
1) Simply open your coconut ( http://www.living-foods.com/articles/youngcoconuts.html for a step by step, although note that I use a very sharp knife and NOT a cleaver!), and pour the water into a blender.
2) Next, scoop out the wet flesh (the meat or jelly, as it is also called) and add into the blender, making sure to get all of it out.
3) Start your blender and process until the jelly and water are totally combined, and no jelly parts remain.
4) Add your green powder if you'd like to - it certainly makes for a more powerful and nutritious drink, but is great either way.
YUM!
RAW COACH'S TOP TIPS:
* Using this mixture is also a great base to home made ice-creams.
* Feel free to experiment with a whole dfferent range of additions such as cacao powder, mesquite, carob, agave, lemon... practically anything goes!

To increase the variety of greens in my smoothies I sometimes use wheatgrass. You may grow your own wheatgrass or buy it in a store. From time to time I purchase a small pot with wheatgrass in soil that is sold for pets. Wheatgrass grows very fast, and I usually get three harvests of grass clippings from a small pot for my green smoothies. Wheatgrass is inexpensive and extremely nutritious. Adding it to a smoothie is perfect for those who wish to benefit from wheatgrass but do not like its taste. The strong flavor and smell of this plant is easily masked by the taste of fruit in the smoothie. Wheatgrass like any other green, contains a minute amount of alkaloids and should be alternated with other greens. It is best to use a high speed blender when preparing a wheatgrass smoothie.
