I've been experiencing some hypothyroid symptoms for awhile; hair loss, cold, fatigue, dry skin, anxiety, weight gain, trouble falling asleep. For the past 7-10 days I've been adding a little kelp to my meals. I started with a sprinkle once a day and have gradually upped the amount and frequency to about 1/4 tsp 3 times a day. Yesterday and today I've felt somewhat hyperthyroid. My thyroid also seems to be a little enlarged. I have a very thin neck and it looks a little swollen. Has anyone else experienced this? Is it just part of the process? I am a very sensitive person. I have to take very small amounts of things that other people can tolerate. I don't tolerate caffeine or alcohol. I'm sensitive to tons of foods. I'm currently on what is called the paleo auto immune protocol. I do pretty well on it. I'm also perimenopausal and have a problem with candida and heavy metals. I'm trying to work on all these problems, but I'm so sensitive it's tough. So any advice is appreciated.
Thanks
