jesser85, when I first got ascaris, my mother looked it up in her old-fashioned medical book. Part of the advice in that book was that the eggs take 1 month to hatch, so if taking a dose of something, it is important to take a second dose (or a second course of the remedy) a month later, to get the eggs.
Here is what I copied from an animal treatment website: (I think this applies to humans with ascaris, too, as most of us have caught it from dogs or cats)
Dogs. Treatment regimen:
Roundworm & hookworm: Treat at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks. Thereafter every 3 months.
