That area sounds like the spleen - and an enlarged spleen will cause discomfort similar to what you're reporting. A lowered platelet count is known as thrombocytopenia, and an enlarged spleen can lower the platelet count.
The spleen is basically a large lymph node that helps to fight infection & remove unwanted debris from the bloodstream. If the spleen enlarges (there are several possible reasons for a spleen to enlarge) it 'accidentally' captures too many platelets for removal.
Why would a spleen enlarge? Well, any organ will enlarge if it's congested - so the first step would be to ensure adequate circulation & lymphatic flow.
-- infections of all types (and parasitical infections) can cause the spleen to enlarge
-- other typical causes are trauma, inflammatory disease, cysts, lymphoma & leukemia.
There are other symptoms when the spleen is enlarged -
--inability to eat large quantities of food
--unexplained weight loss
--frequent infections
--tiredness & fatigue
--jaundice
Apparently (no surprise here) there is a strong connection between the liver & spleen. Choleostasis (a lack of bile flow) is known to cause the spleen to enlarge:
>>>Symptoms of cholestasis may include the following: jaundice, dark urine, pale stool, easy bleeding, itching, small, spider-like blood vessels visible in the skin, an enlarged spleen, fluid in the abdominal cavity, chills and abdominal pain.<<<
Since you know of the connection between liver issues & glaucoma, I'm thinking you've already finished a series of
Liver Flushes are are into the 'maintenance zone'...but if you haven't, now would be the time to get 'er done!
Suggestions for lymph circulation & cleansing: the best herbal formula is the Blood Detox tincture - it is EXECELLENT for assisting lymphatic flow *and* for fighting infections. Dry sking brushing and rebounding are the two most common therapies. Castor oil packs are also excellent.
Healthiest of blessings,
