Hi I am on day 21 of water fasting. Yesterday my mouth was so dry and coated that I searched the forum and found a few posts mentioning oil pulling.I oil pulled with coconut oil and it began to take effect in the evening. My mouth felt comfortable but then I immediately regret it because I found myself unable to distinguishing true hunger with more and more saliva produced in my mouth!
I did develope food craving for a couple days already. Every night I crave meat (which I actually seldom eat normally). But yesterday I also felt my stomach move with liquid rolling inside. Gas and a salty taste came up my throat and I felt like vomiting but couldn't. I felt a bit like vomiting for about three nights now but yesterday was much more extreme.
I am now wondering if the coconut oil pulling triggered hunger signals in my body? Or if my body is really coming close to depletion? I feel more and more difficult to resist food especially with the saliva in my mouth now I feel I can put anything in my mouth any minute. My mouth is still dry and my tongue is only slightly coated right now but it seems to be easily washed away with saliva.
Does anyone have any experience with this or any insight? I do want to continue my fast if its the oil pulling that's producing all these reactions. But at the same time I don't want to miss my body's message if it's really time for me to resume eating.....
Thank you all in advance.
