"I know this is a hypothyroid symptom, yet rare in males, so I ask in the
Iodine forum. Has anyone here suffer/ed loss of body hair and succesfully recovered from it?"
- yes, body hair loss in males are rare, but one of the typical symptoms of hypo T in females are thinning of the outer eyebrow. And scalp of course, as in males.
In females also an INCREASE in facial hairs are reported.
So we could have an interesting thread.
The topical effect of coconut oil / castor oil; could be a fungus or
parasite situatin, possibly similar to alopecia.
I treated a 10 year old girl with alopecia; iodine, borax + vit B and the other co-factors. She was good within a year, even on a bad SAD diet.
A better option for fungus /
parasites IMO than the oils, are a borax solution (water, borax 4,5 %)with some iodine, essential oils. Let it sit for half an hour or even over night, then rinse. Less mess.
I put the girl on this topical treatment, but I dont know what worked in her case.
Mostly I would think that in this particular thread case it is a hormonal imbalance, and even if your testosterone test is ok, it may be on the declining side, or that the test doesnt work, same as the thyroid tests frequently doesnt show the true picture. (shows fine on the tests, but you have all symptoms of a low thyroid)
I would consider other symptoms, than libido level, energy level etc.
Borax will boost the testosterone, also
Iodine will balance hormones.
Androgenic symptoms include loss of body hair;
