Hi Guys I was diagnosed with Auto Immune Addison's disease 2009. Was informed by many of conventional specialists (more then 3)I will never be able to live with out
Flodroocortisone(helps the adrenals hold onto sodium), Plus I will need to take 30-50 mg of hydrocortisone daily. Well With the help of NB I got off the fludrocortisone in Oct 2011 thanks to a wonderful salt called Hawiaain Bamboo Jade Sea Salt . Plus I was able to work myself down to 10 mg of hydrocortisone since Feb 2012( without any set backs except under extreme stress when dog need surgery and the flu). Now I am getting one step closer to healing my adrenals. I am in need of no extra salt throughout the day since dumping aluminum in Nov/Dec 2012. I spoke with
Malter yesterday about my latest hair analysis. I was informed my adrenals are active :)
He informed me now they need to be able to regulate the sodium/potassium to come to a good ratio. I am hopping with the help of Rick Malter I will be able to get my adrenals working right to regulate these two minerals :) I am still pinching myself :)
Just wanted to post for new comers so they know there is hope for them:)

Hi Yoe91,
I just keep pinching myself. In 2009 I thought my life was gonna be a mess for the rest of it. Usually if you have 1 or 2 auto-immune diseases just more keep forming..I feel so blessed right now :) I wish a few friends I've made with the same thing Auto-Immnune Addison's could do NB. But once you continue to believe conventional DR's and can't look outside of the box, that it is sad. I only see these few ladies getting worse instead of better :(

This is a reply to # 2,073,418thaaanks Marie !! And I swear it's just such a pleasure to read you're doing better...I mean, we're not just computerized usernames, we're ppl who got used to each other on here...
and call this sexist if you want, but personally I'd rather take on more fatigue myself and see women get better.
Why the hell does such a condition exist ? Who'd have known the human body could go through so much pressure without the person dying ?!
And about ND's VS MD's:
on one hand, MD's are just too limited with their stubborn ways these days. AF today is like cancer a century ago, or the flu 500 year ago. Nothing wrong with MD's scope, it's just they know far too little about it. They'll know AF well in another 100 years.
On the other hand, ND's will often be charlatans, will tell you about this magical water from the streams of Tibet, or some old Indian/or Chinese cure from the Ancient times...or just supplements...that don't do JACK.
So it's up to us to be incredibly vigilant, and intelligent...filter the info ourselves, though we are neither MD's or ND's..and it can be very, very hard...- Re: Up date how I am doing:)

I wish no one had to suffer in life.
I am luck I am alive :)
I am thankful for my hubby to be my advocate and do the reseach he did on my behalf to get me on NB. If it wasn't for him I would have been a mess today.
I am very Blessed.
How are you doing Yoe, are you seeing any improvements?

Hows the Blood Pressure too?

Hi Patrick,
My blood pressure is the most stable the past 3 months. 112/70. Plus no more soidum loss causing high heart rate.
I could go back to work now. But I choice to stay home now and try and do some things in the house and outside I have not been able to do in the past 5 years. Once I go back to work I would never abuse myself again with doing everyhting around my house and work...those days are over...time to enjoy life a little...I have been dedicated since I was 19 to my children and hubby and working and my house. SO I have to make sure I will have ths support of my kids and hubby to help around here more.
I am still on the 10 mg of hydrocortisone, I want the adrenals to get stronger before I even try to get off. They need to be able to regulate the sodium potasium on its own...we shall see. I would say 95-98%..would be saying 100 but with the hyrdo yet I can't.
I have no symptoms like I use to ...symptom free... I have more energy then before more strength... I have not gone back to exercise yet, I have lost some good wieght once I released the aluminum...so I am just using my enery for fun things and work around here. I actully like my body now,,,weird at 48 I look better then when I was 40...

Not fantastic at all, in fact !
But hey, could be worse...I could be having adrenal fatigue in a 3rd world country, without parents who can pay for my treatment (though it's pretty costly, I must say !...but even that could be much worse).
I even could have been born a tree ! aaaaahhhhhh...

You are blessed as well having your parents caring and helping you.
I am sorry to hear you are not doing to well. do you know what is causing your issues?

Hi Ruffneck,
I know all the NB practioners I worked with play an important roll in my healing.
I was beating myself up there alittle when I re-astarted NB after a 6 month break, but it all turned out good in the end.
The first year I worked with Dr Kerry Miller (one of Wilson's top students). After a year I felt 95%, but never understood the conncetion of having to release heavy metals and more toxins when I took a break from NB in May 2012. I went back once i felt my body slipping back, but this time I wanted more support I choose Theresa Vernon...I worked with her for about 3 months...At this time I was able to release tons of alauminum in my urine and bowel movements for 2 months. I did not like her attitude (down right rude) when I explained I was not happy with all of the supplements from NB that I would like to buy a few better ones...well she flipped on me.
I met this other Dr Rick Malter in a group I belong and he had 30 years experience, but with a different lab (very similiar to ARL) It is TEI. I am so blessed to have found him. When working with TV my minerals levels only dropped fruther and had great fatigue. WOrking with RIck Malter since Feb he was able to bring my levels up an dI got my energy back and adrenal function back...Yay !!!
What help the most is listening to your body and insticts :)

This is a reply to # 2,073,422Marie if you were able to recover 95% from addisons within one year then hopefully that means people with impaired adrenal function that has not reached addisons stage should hopefully be able to recover quicker.I sent off a hair analysis a couple of weeks ago and should recieve the results soon, is it common for people to post hair analysis ranges on the NB forum and recieve some general advice?

I would love to say yes. But I may have had an upper hand with needing hydrocortisone. I did get down on a low dose and I was deicated to staying on a low dose even when I crashed. But i had to be wise and take extra when My BP dropped to low and before my system started to shut down. I did experince getting off over a 5 month period all the way for 1 week and I was in really bad shape...vomiting up ever little thing I took. At the end I could not even get a teaspoon of water in me...so I needed to start all over to wean myself down. Down to 10 mg was on 30-50 mg daily.
I will be trying to wean myself off in the fall if not sooner. I want to enjoy the summer :) and get stronger with my core.
