The only thing I know of that will lessen ice pick type scars is microdermabrasion, or, just exfoliating daily with a good scrubby pad and gentle soap. I use French milled, all natural soaps from places like Australian soap company and others. The next thing that helps with that is making sure you have soft water. Mineral deposits in water clog pores, making them appear larger and also causing acne. Big box hardware stores carry water softeners for under $400 depending on the size and water needs of your home/family.
The thing that I have also done to make my skin look flawless is to use a zinc based cream on my face. Now...I know this sounds insane, but it's loaded with zinc and really does help. Desitin diaper rash cream is readily available in most stores. It goes on white, and must be removed with cleansing, not just water. The zinc in it clears up and removes red hyperpigmentation from cystic type
Acne (which is also the type that likely caused the ice pick scaring on your face.) I use a product I found on Amazon.com called Promina Ginseng Pearl Cream
Acne Dark Spot Cream for Face (as low as $5.10). It has petrolatum and mineral oil in it, so it can feel a bit oily, however, oily skin actually needs moisturizing. If you find any zinc oxide products that don't have petrolatum products in them, please let me know. I'd be interested in that. Though, all that said, this product within 2 days reduced my red scarring by about 90%...also removed the small bump
Acne I'd had crop up from stress, and has reduced the size of a wart type mole I had on my chin that I'd all but given up on getting rid of. Happy accident that I discovered this worked on it too! It works. Try it. Or Desitin. Either should work just fine.
