Is Albendazole OTC in France?

Hi all,
I'm on my second round of mebendazole for Ascaris and am looking to get albendazole. My doc here in the US gave me a prescription but it's only for 4 pills and it's $150!
So my friend brought me back some mebendazole from Mexico and was supposed to bring back albendazole too but instead got something else that has just a bit of albendazole in it, but it's mostly for treatment of amoebas, which I don't think I have. The main ingredient is for amoebas.
So my sister will be in France next week. Does anyone know if you can get it OTC there? Or should I start looking now for somewhere else to get it?

Valbazen is an option for people who can't get albendazole tabs. You can find this on ebay or at your local livestock supply:

Albendazole is for Ascaris outside of the digestive tract... so don't use it unless you really think you need to - and you believe they have left the digestive tract. I'd leave the albendazole for a while until you really assess what is going on as its is a strong drug which goes systemic rather than just working in the digestive tract.
Are you taking the mebendazole with a fatty meal? Another idea is to use pyrantel pamoate (Pin-x) as well as it paralyses the worms so that the mebendazole works better. It should work for you if used mebendazole 100 mg's with a fatty meal a.m. and p.m. for 3 days and then some kind of maintenance program, i.,e herbal parasite program.

I'm on my second round of mebendazole, today being the last day. It was much easier on my stomach this time around, just more fatigue. I've had Ascaris for almost two years now and it went undiagnosed (of course). So I fear they may have overrun my body. But I thought I would give the meb a shot first and see how things went. I will probably try to get the albendazole still but hold off until I'm sure I need it.

This is a reply to # 2,065,356is it just for Ascaris outside the digestive track? I used it and it worked but I had hookworms + others? I agree it is very hard on your body

This is a reply to # 2,066,214We were talking about Ascaris in the body... that's why I said it kills Ascaris outside of the digestive tract. Albendazole will kill round worms in the body - Ascaris is a round worm.. Hook worm is a round worm too so it could also kill that as well.
