Interesting read.I had my hormone levels tested during my course of treatment for parasites and was low in cortisal and extemely low in Dhea for my age group. Started supplementation- it has been a year now and still supplementing both even though I am on the higher levels now but my parasite problem seems to have been solved ( did lots of other things) to much to mention right now.

Yes, interesting. When I first realized I had parasites I also found my adrenals were really shot. I supplemented with Vit. C. Ashwaghanda and Pantothentic Acid (B5). After about 6 or 8 weeks, I experienced marked improvement in adrenals. I still have parasites. Perhaps I need to continue to supplement. Will do more research on DHEA and Cortisol.

Over the years that followed my infection became less and less active UNTIL in 2010 when I started using bio-identical hormone creams namely, estrogen and progesterone.

What happened in the months that followed in the summer of 2010 resulted in a hyperinfection again, akin to the one I first experienced in 2000, the latter of which again manifested itself throughout my body giving me hell so I came to realize through this horrid experience, YES hormones do have a definite impact on activating parasites, their eggs, cysts that lay dormant or otherwise, in stimulating their reproductive cycles to mega proportions.

Similar also is the taking of steroids - both an absolute NO NO!
