Just curious how many people on here that are suffering from Candida have mercury/ Amalgam fillings in their mouth. I had my last one taken out yesterday. I read online somewhere that theres a connection between mercury in the mouth and Candida. I've had Candida for some time now.... really the only symptom that I can notice I have left is the coated tongue. All the rest of my symptoms seemed to have been resolved by going gluten and dairy free. Those symptoms WERE headaches, digestion issues, sinus, excessive mucos, Acne (cystic and constant clogged pores), brain fog, no energy, weird heart beat, eyelid swelling with copious amounts of mucus discharge, fatigue, bloating, stiff neck, etc etc etc.
Anyone find that once they got their Amalgams taken out that their - white tongue- slowly started to return to pink?
I'm taking MSM and Vit C to get what mercury is left in my body out- and I know that will take some time.

My tongue is about as normal as it was pre-candida, which is saying a lot, because at one point the back of my tongue was so overgrown with candida that it was almost furry.
Getting rid of mercury fillings is necessary to start healing, but it is by no means sufficient in and of itself. You need to continue now by chelating the mercury and other metals out of your body:
If I had to give you a short list of what I recommend, it would look like this:
Chelation:
Read Andy Cutler's book
DMSA
DMPS (MercOut)
alpha lipoic acid
chlorella
lecithin
cilantro (after a year or so of just DMSA/ALA)
Detox:
Get in a sauna regularly--stay in 15 mins after your head starts to sweat
Take psyllium fiber every day to keep your bowels constantly moving and detoxing
apple cider vinegar
Lugol's Iodine (for the thyroid)
Lots of vit C (5g-20g/day)
oil pulling with sesame oil every morning 20 mins
Do a few gall bladder flushes (olive oil, etc.) as your gall bladder is most likely full of toxic waste and stones
Multivitamin
NAC for the liver

This is a reply to # 2,021,882Thanks for asking. I've been doing really, really well with respect to the mercury problems I used to have. After a year straight of DMSA/ALA, then adding cilantro, then a bottle of DMPS (MercOut), I reached the point where my mind feels about as good as it was before I got sick.
Unfortunately when I hit rock bottom due to the mercury I started having serious back pain (slipped discs), probably because I was so malnutritioned, and I'm still battling those back problems now. Aside from that though I am a new man.- Re: Candida and Amalgam fillings stefb

So after you chelated the metals out of your body your tongue went back to its normal color? Reason I ask is for the last year I have done everything for treating candida, I have done colon cleansing, liver / gallbladder flush, antifungals , excellent diet and nothing will make that white tongue go away. So my last idea was to get the last Amalgam out and see if that could be the actual cause of it.
THanks for the list of chelation supps that will help get the metals out!!

I have been curious about this but my hesitation in having them removed is that I have heard that if not removed exactly right, they can cause huge problems by releasing more mercury into your system during the process and that it is VERY expensive. I have serious intestinal infestation and immune system damage with minimal finances. It sounds like you may have the 'key' here for me. Any suggestions?
I have been successful in treating the oral thrush through an old Ayurvedic method called "oil swishing" for the oral thrush. Basically it consisted of putting a couple of tablespoons of oil (sesame seed or coconut oil) into my mouth and swishing it around for 15 minutes, two to three times a day. It sounds gross, I know, but, I'll be damned, it worked. I noticed a huge improvement after the first week and continued this for 4 more weeks. This is a reply to # 2,022,041I just started oil pulling too with the coconut oil and I def see a difference. I had the Amalgam taken out by a holistic/ biological dentist and it ran me without insurance about $350. He recommended I go see my ND for a Vit C IV drip right after I saw him. But for financial reasons, I cant afford that and I know there are many ways you can chelate on your own at home.
I dont know if it is coincidence but my tongue this morning wasnt as heavily coated. I didnt have to brush it nearly as long as I usually do. Just looking at it now, it still doesnt have that much film on it. I will post if the tongue thing gets better!!
