I've heard of lucid dreaming, and maybe this is what it is but I find this stuff kind of weird.
Sometimes when I am falling asleep and almost immediately when I close my eyelids and not fully asleep yet, a city or place comes into focus and I start flying or floating down the street effortlessly. I'm not in a deep sleep yet and still aware of my normal surroundings when this is happening. When I'm floating down these streets, I notice that I can zoom in and out for clarity.
Once, I started zooming in and out of a time frame seemed to be set in the 1800's by the black and whiteness of the scenery and the clothes the people were wearing. Sometimes it's pleasant other times not so.
For instance, one time I felt and heard the sound of very cold wind touching my face and rushing past my ears. The wind seemed like it came from some really wintry place like Alaska or the Himalaya's, next thing I know I'm high above a huge stone-like area capped with some snow. It kind of reminded me of Mt. Rushmore without the faces. It was beautiful there, very bright but I didn't see any Sun, something told me to look down, when I looked down I was over a very high cliff then I starting zooming in really close to see what this light cement colored stone substance was made of. It was kind of scary because I was alone in this huge place, no other signs of life were there.
Other "dreams" I have had where I'm in a pretty nice city then I see strange objects darting across the sky and I get scared and want to leave.
At times, when I'm asleep I can hear a male voice in my left ear. He is not saying anything bad, as a matter of fact, I can't make out what he is saying. He will say a word or two then go away.
I do work nights and usually go to bed between 6 am and 10am maybe that has something to do with it my Circadian but I'm not sure. But if anyone can help me out with this would be appreciated.
