What I don't understand is that alcohol has the exact same effect as niacin. So if it is a vasodilator then it should be healthy to do within reason. Also just like niacin, the more alcohol I have the less flushing happens.
Been reading about methylation more. I'm probably an undermethylator, but some of the dietary recommendations don't fit with me. I'm going to try methionine very soon, hopefully it will help with the stagnant bile.
Some sites say meat is low histamine, some say it is high histamine. Citrus is supposed to be a histamine liberator which should make me feel worse but I feel good with lemons and limes.
I think I'm going to try drinking more alcohol too since I never noticed any ill effect from it aside from the flush. My illness was triggered from drinking beer. I was off alcohol for a very long time and then realized I could drink some in moderation with no apparent down sides. Come to think of I did pretty well on guiness but it gives me really bad gas.
