I have been aware for a few months now that I have a yeast overgrowth, which has probably been around for 7 years or so. It explains my migraines, skin issues, "hypoglycemia", foggy brain, and very persistent and recurring vaginal yeast infections. It all started with loads of rounds of
Antibiotics in college. My last round was 3 months ago.
At any rate, I am very prone to sinus infections, as I have allergies (which I am convinced has to do with my yeast problem.) Two days ago I started a round of raw ground bee propolis since I knew it was antibacterial and my Ukrainian fiance gave it to me as a breathing treatment. I assumed it could be ingested, and I confirmed it online. However, when you make it yourself, you don't really know how much to take or how strong it is. At any rate, it immediately began to clear my head! However, due to its antifungal properties I woke up the next morning with what I believe to by terrible Yeast die-off flu-like symptoms. It is TERRIBLE! I am miserable, but will push myself to go through with the yeast free diet and aggressively attack these little boogers with my fresh/raw/ground propolis.
1) Does anyone have experience using propolis to kill yeast?
2) Does anyone have advice about when I should back off? (I feel terrible and I'm concerned about my liver)
3) Does anyone have experience drinking homemade kombucha, homemade kefir or raw apple cider vinegar during this cleansing period? (these have been my staples within the last few months, particulary kefir and ACV)
