So-called rife machines are expensive (the two here sell for $400+ and $500+: http://www.rifedigital.com/.)
Would a cheap frequency (function, signal) generator with cable and metal handholds/footfads work equally well, if not better (this bundle will cost under $200)? This one on ebay with cable sell for just under $100 (http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230785305544&ssPageName=ADME:X:AAQ:US:1123). In any case,
1. If I want a model that emits high electric current to the body (current helps kill parasites), which specification figure should I look for? Is it the output voltage?
2. The output voltage of the ebay model is max. 20Vp-p. The other model has max. output voltage "20Vp-p (open circuit); 10Vp-p (into 50 ohms)". Is "open circuit" the same as "open load"? What is the difference between "open circuit" and "into 50 ohms"? Do I get 20Vp-p output for both models if I turn the Amplitude knob to the max?
3. The more expensive model has a DC-Offset knob and Sym knob. Do I set them at neutral (middle) position for Rife application?
4. The cheaper model has a Duty-Cycle knob, but the more expensive model doesn't have one. Does Duty-Cyle matter in Rife application?
5. Both go up to 2MHz. If price is no objection, which one is a better choice?

This is a reply to # 1,973,283yeah if you're going to spend money on something that don't work you might as well spend as little as possible and do it yourself.
Voltage is important but if the output is low wattage then when the load is low resistance the voltage won't go as high as it normally does. (Watts=voltage x current)
DC offset, duty cycle, frequency, don't matter because "Rife" machines aren't Rife at all. His technology was for sale and his secrets died with him because he never found a buyer. Modern Rife technology is nothing more than a fad. I used to sell them but stopped because my customers weren't getting good results. Beck technology is something that works and is relatively cheap.

This is a reply to # 1,973,642Rife frequencies do help and certainly can make a difference. I do not know why the machines that he sold were not effective. There is value in most of these applications.
The FDA needs to stop standing in the way of progress and cooperate with some real research.
As for a cheap Rife machine? Accuracy is extremely important where Rife frequencies are concerned. I do agree with the idea of not wasting money on something that is not likely to work.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,973,283The Rife Digital is not very accurate. Can only change in 10 Hz steps. What I mean is if you want to use 727 Hz you can't. You have to use either 720 Hz or 730 Hz.
I own a Instek 2004 model ($300) as well as other frequency generators and I'm happy with it. This is a cheaper model if you're on a budget. http://www.amazon.com/Instek-SFG-1003-MHz-Function-Generator/dp/B0051W6LDW/re...
With that said, if you can afford $500, I'd recommend a F-125.
I'd also recommend foot pads over hand holds for long-term use. Can be on the computer while getting zapped at the same time. Makes life easy doing this.

which is available locally for under US$100. (This one has sweep function, but only up to 2 sec. Probably no use for rife application.)

2. Do you use the TTL/CMOS output? (Don't know what they are.)
3. Which wave (sine, square, triangle)do you use? (Zappers typically use square wave. Not sure about rife machines.)
4. Do you use attenuation? (Don't know what it is.)
5. Do you turn the Amplitude knob to the max to get the most electric current? (I think the current kills lots of parasites regardless of frequency.)

2. Don't know what TTL/CMOS is.
3. I use square wave for most. Sometimes can try sine if you know the exact freq such as say Hulda Clark freq or a normalizing frequency but mostly I use square.
4. I don't know what attenuation is.
5. I turn the electric current up to max for most frequencies. Low frequencies such as say below 1000 Hz may need to turn it down depending on how many volts the frequency generator outputs.- Re: Would a cheap frequency generato... hunghung

The current is really strong (stronger than any of the zappers I own) and hurts the skin. I have to turn the Amplitude knob to Min or close to Min.
Interestingly, it seems that whatever frequency I use, the skin parasites react/die (lots of biting/tingling sensations, just like when I am zapping; the FG works much faster).
Two questions:
1. Do you turn the DC Offset knob to Max? (Now I turn it midway between neutral and Max.)
2. My unit generates sine, triangle, and square waves and I choose one by pushing one of the three buttons (see the above link). However, I can disable all three waves (when all three buttons are "up"). When the three waves are disabled, what kind of wave does the unit generate?

This is a reply to # 1,976,692The unit that you bought is specifically for testing electronics and the safety spec's may be questionable for that reason.
That aside, the frequency may be reasonably accurate but I am not so sure about the positive offset.
When all buttons are out, it is probably no waveform.
You might try a volt meter, release all output knobs and set the baseline voltage to 0.25 volts ( if it will work that way), then turn on the square wave. Otherwise, you will probably need an O'scope to set it.

If there is no wave, how can there be frequency?
I started to use the SS footpads yesterday and find footpads work much better than handholds. I can turn the Amplitude output to Max without feeling too much discomfort.
I found 330hz and 30 hz work very well in killing the skin parasites. I am getting much, much faster result than zapping with a zapper. I feel it is the strong current that delivers the killing power and frequency, wave form, and offset are only secondary. The frequency is being generated, but with the switches in the wrong position, the signal is not connected to the output.

The best way is to use all together as a 4 point contact system, 3 points positive, only 1 negative.

So can nerves and other sensitive parts of the body. Too strong of a current can cause neurological damage. Use caution in this respect.

That page doesn't say what wave form is to be used and whether negative voltage is allowed.
Can you throw some light?
(One day of zapping with my new FG is equivalent to at least 10 days of regular zapping. I found 880hz works very well for my skin parasite condition.)

This is a reply to # 1,974,716I recently came in contact with someone who owns an Srt. Square Resonance Machine and had subtle but good results. Are you familiar with it? I'm told the cost is $4000 plus training. That seems steep compared to this conversation. I'm in the market for buying a machine and having trouble finding in-depth research and figuring out what would be the best one for us that will include support. I'm a licensed massage therapist for the past 15 years, a life coach, and wanting to incorporate this into my business. Thank you in advance for your help.

This is a reply to # 2,320,934It is a very good idea to do a lot of research before buying and do not just rely on the opinions of others.
There is a wide range of machines and options.
One of the best and a long term standby for professionals is the GB-4000 but there are a number of other machines that are newer.
On the cheaper end of the scale is the Spooky-2 which is a good machine but possibly not quite as professional and it does require a computer to operate it.
Dr. Clark suggested to avoid the Rife Digital series and I would support that conclusion, basically because their frequency claims can be misleading.
Also, you want to tread very lightly when offering services with these machines, none are FDA approved so you can NOT make medical claims such as healing or curing any disease, illness, or condition of the human body.
