Hello friends,
I had a ton of bloodwork and labs done recently (the bill hasn't come yet but it will be huge). Just got the results from my Dr. a few minutes ago.
Everything looks normal. Even my ANA is gone - it says "None Detected." My Dr. said it might show up now and then, but for now it's gone - yahoo! I still don't feel normal - still have neurological issues - some dizziness, definite shakiness/tremors that are always worse around my cycle, pretty severe restless legs/body especially around period and ovulation, thin hair, brittle ridge in my nails that like to split vertically, occasional breathing issues (either feeling like I can't get a full satisfying breath or feeling like I keep forgetting to breath or am breathing too shallowly), spacey feeling in my head sometimes. These are the main ones that come and go. But even these are very gradually getting better. They still come, but they don't linger as long, and they're not as severe usually. The restless legs thing HAS been bad this month, but I just started my period, and last night I slept well. My anxiety is generally much better - not really an issue.
There are also many symptoms that I haven't had for over a year - heart palps, night sweats,
Acne problems, fatigue. Also my flushing disorder (erythromelagia) is 90% better. The flushing episodes also brought mild-severe nerve pain in my toes (the flushing was always in my feet). Numbness, vibration, and tingling have been pretty much gone for awhile. I still occasionally have some muscle twitching in various parts of my body.
So I am a bit over 2 1/2 years post (will be 3 years this November). As I posted recently, my increased exercise level has really helped lately.
Something interesting - my Vit. D level was 37. It was 35 last time in 2010. This is normal for my lab, but low according to what many holistic healers recommend. I am in the sun quite a bit and still supplement with 400-1000 IUs. I was supplementing with 2,000 daily during the winter. I'm surprised my levels aren't higher. I am going to increase my supplements a bit.
So, I feel this is good news, and I AM relieved that all looks good, but of course I still don't feel completely normal. But my good days are getting closer to normal, and my bad days aren't nearly as bad as they used to be.
I'm praying I keep on this path! Now I'll go tell my husband the news. I just had to post and tell you sweet ladies first :)
Hang in there everyone...
Love,
Diana
