my distiller is made of stainless steal, you should be fine.

I use distilled water. I figure that non-distilled water will be pulling things from the pot equally as the distilled, plus this way I know I am NOT drinking/eating those nasty things that the distiller takes out, which is more important anyway.

You could buy a glass teapot to cut down on some of your concerns.

its the only water to use. it will not work on stainless steel or nay pan that has food in it. the next question is why are you cooking? just teasing, my wife can't break the habit either.
