Hi everyone, a brief back on myself, I'm a 30 yr old male, good physical health overall. In the past year, my health spiraled downward. I started getting all these weird symptoms like dry scaly skin (derma said eczema), dry burning mouth, tongue, and lips, even my teeth had signs of erosion. I went to a GI and he said nope this is not GERD however I saw a GI surgeon that said it looks like GERD. He did a Nissen Fundo which is a surgery which suppose to stop GERD but my symptoms persisted.
I’ve been seaching the ends of internet for answers and what it points to is an over acidic body. My diet was not good before this so maybe that’s why. Basically consisted of Oatmeal for breakfast, a pb and j sandwhich for lunch, and meat and rice w/ a diet pepsi for dinner. I took lots of whey protein also. I believe my lack of fruits and veggies with the large amounts of whey may have contributed to my decline in health.
I saw a documentary Fat sick and nearly dead and it brought me a little hope. I bought a juicer and started
juicing two weeks ago. I began to eat better while juicing, but only recently began an all juice fast (5 days so far.)
The sad thing is that I see no signs of physical improvement. My skin is still dry/scaly and I still have the burning sensations in my mouth. I test my urine and mouth ph and most of the time it is alkaline. Before however it was acidic.
What do you guys think? Is 5 days too short to see any changes? Do you think I should give up the fast and just eat more alkaline and raw foods? I’m not overweight and I don’t want to lose weight but it’s coming off from the fast. I think I lost about 2-3 lbs in 5 days but probably lots of muscle. I exercise daily and I can see the difference What do you guys think. Please give me some advice. It’s so depressing when nothing works
