Last year when we were having a yard sale, a girl with pink hair came. My little girl stared at her in awe, and then when she left, she said, "momma, I want pink hair just like hers one day". I told her that her hair was beautiful the way it was.
Just recently we went to a dress up birthday party. The girls got the whole works done, hair, nails, princess dresses, heels. My little girl sat down to get her hair done, and they asked her if she wanted her hair pink? "Oh yeah", she said, and she looked at me and smiled. :) I looked at my husband and he knew I was wanting to interfere. He whispered, "it's just a little pink hair spray". Me, being the naturalist that I am, hating any kind of chemicals whatsoever, still didn't like the idea one bit, but I remained passive.
Never again! It took over an hour to get that out of her hair. I don't know what it was, but it wasn't just a little pink hair spray. We shampooed her hair over and over and over. I started resorting to everything I could find in the house that I thought could remove it. Finally the winning combination was apple cider vinegar, baking soda, and
Bentonite clay with her hair soaking in that mixture for half an hour. And it still wasn't all out. The rest we ended up cutting out. She needed a hair cut anyway.
No warning! That was the amazing thing. Wouldn't they want to ask the parents, and tell them what they were getting into? This was suppose to be a professional place.
But the good thing is that my little girl is over pink hair now at least for this life. lol
My family informed me that I had two gray hairs coming in just the other day. :( Stress hairs!
