I don't know what Hv will say but I can only say that if it was my daughter, I'd take her off the Iodine immediately. Barring Hv, most of the people who post on Curezone aren't health experts. We're just ordinary folks who only know what our own experiences have been and what we choose to believe.

If I were in your shoes, I'd be advising my friend to search the internet for the MSDS safety sheet on Iodine and checking what the side effects are. I'd be advising her to talk to a pharmacist about side effects of ingesting iodine. It's not as if taking one chemical can take away health problems, that's a pharmaceutical approach.

If I were her, I'd be putting my daughter on an orange juice fast with herbs (including plant iodine). I'd be making sure she gets lots of sunshine and lots of rest and as little stress as possible and a good diet (after the fast).

The old medical books can be good resources but very few people take the time. You can also search this forum for past posts on thyroid problems.

Has she had this properly diagnosed? If not, it may be well worth getting a diagnosis.

If she has endometriosis, a good herb for endometriosis is Vitex agnus castus, also called Chaste tree. This should result in a gradual reduction of endometriosis over months.

If she has cramps, but not endometriosis, there are other herbs. One example is Cramp bark.
