Ionic/ Colloidal Silver is very effective versus all viruses. Don't believe anyone who tells you otherwise, check the research, and don't believe the propaganda about its dangers which are caused by silver salts like Ag Nitrate. (I would stay away from Miracle-Mineral-Supplement though).
Larger colloids are effective vs GI microbes. Given the difficulty an expense of acquiring pure silver wire, I recommend you try copper instead which has all the same benefits, while allowing you to drink 2-4 cups per day rather than just a few drops of store-bought silver water.

For anyone with difficulty affording ionic/ Colloidal Silver , there is a much simpler and cheaper option - ionic/colloidal copper. It has all the same antiviral and antibacterial properties as silver, but is much easier to find and much cheaper.

Just go to RadioShack or equivalent, buy a DC voltage generator for $10 including wires with alligator clips, and buy some copper wire, any gage will do. Put the copper wire into distilled water, though RO water (about 20ppm) will also work. Leave it at about 12-16v and 10 milli-amps for 12-24 hours. Filter the colloids, and drink the ionic copper water.

Though reports conflict due to competing merchants all selling their own products, it seems that the ionic coinage metals are more effective at destroying bacteria and viruses, and the ionic forms are able to penetrate deeper into tissues.

The larger colloids are better for cleansing the GI tract though an excess will act as an emetic or may cause diarrhea.

One might, on the first day, drink the colloidal-rich (blue) water to cleanse the GI tract, followed by probiotics after several hours, and then on following days take the ionic copper water regularly - daily or even every few hours. Do not hesitate to drink 500-1000mL ionic copper water per day, you cannot overdose. You should take some additional vitamin after a few hours to stabilize metabolic copper levels.

In a first-hand case studied observed by the author, a case of genital herpes that was not healing with aciclovir, was cured _immediately_ upon initiation of the copper medicine with no remissions.

Patients of herpes or HIV are advised to take the copper daily for 6 months to 2 years in order to completely eradicate the viruses which can hide inside tissues for an extended period of time. Eat plenty of probiotic foods during that time to compensate for the loss of beneficial intestinal microbes.
