I am really wanting to educate myself in herbal medicine. I have known for a while that I am called to help others. People already ask me health/wellness information all the time. So, I'm thinking about the future for that reason, but also to serve my family. Last night, I took my oldest son to the doctor because after 3 days of trying what I knew to do naturally he was still sick and getting worse. He has strep. :( And he is on
Antibiotics because I do not have the confidence to know how to treat him naturally. I want to be able to have references that I can pull from and what I need on hand when something like this happens. I know basics and that's about it. I'm super excited to learn so much about herbs! I have found one great resource that is only 10 minutes away from my house. A native american indian woman who specializes in herbal medicine and teaches classes!!!! That is so awesome. But I am looking for good books and any other resources you all may know about.
My second resource request is regarding family meal planning based on a mostly raw vegan diet. I am now eating along the guidelines of the Weston Price diet. I want to be able to plan meals for my 3 young children that they will be excited about. They already eat a lot of raw fruits and some raw veggies. It's actually interesting that my oldest least likes raw, my middle and youngest really like raw because they were born after I started going against the SAD and not vaccinating. I am about to start my 30 day "intro" cleanse, and I want to keep their meals healthy and simple. I also want something as a lifetime model of eating once I am not cleansing. It's going to be a whole new format for us even though we already eat 80% better than most Americans.
I am so thankful for this forum. It has truly been the motivation and support for my path to continue as it should. Blessings to all of you!
