I'm a new user, but not a new reader to this forum. I know for sure that I have mold poisoning and I'm preparing to move from my present home.
I plan to keep some items, but as little as possible. I definately have to keep my car. I'm fully aware of cross contamination and remedies for the situation.
I'm in the process of buying a HEPA filter vacuum cleaner, ozone machine and UV light air purifier. My main concern is at what location do I clean my belongings? Do I do it at my present dwelling that I know is contaminated with mold or at the new location. I don't want to contaminate my new location.
Please help with someone!! This is very stressful!!!
I'm really less stress since I found out what was the underling caused of the health issues I have been experiencing for years after much intense research.
Thanks to GOD for revealing this to me and many others.

I suggest, purchase some "Betadine surgical scrub." Soak all clothes, towels, etc in Betadine (instead of detergent), then wash. Do this at the contaminated house. After drying them, you need an uncontaminated place to put them so they are not recontaminated.
I suggest, spend a lot of time exposing your skin to sunlight during hot weather. This will kill anything you have living on your body. It will also result in the production of vitamin D, which is important for killing any internal infections, and eliminating any toxins. If you have fair skin, don't overdo it and get sunburnt.
Do you have any symptoms of infection?
If you do have a chronic infection, and this does not kill it, go to a place with a hot climate, either temporarily or permanently.
After cleaning your car, leave it out in the hot sun during hot weather, to kill anything living in your car. Cars can get very hot when out in the sunlight during hot weather.

This is a reply to # 1,925,514Thank PM #136235 for your advice.Yes I do have severe symptoms, but thanks to GOD I have been doing very well still living in a mold enviroment.I'm making all necessary prepaations to move soon. I've been doing sunbathing for years, which help tremendously. I'm very knowlegeable about the remedies for the body. I really think that's the only reason that I'm alive with GOD'S help.
My main concern was my personal belongings. Someone also suggested on this website to use Chlorine Dioxide. I think I'm going to use that for the few pieces of furniture (mianly leather) that I'll be taking with me.
I'm praying for all the people that who are suffering from mold poisoning.
Please Father, help us!!!

This is a reply to # 1,927,477I suggest cleaning what you absolutely must have in Borax. Also spray it down with KLEEN GREEN, look it up online for reviews.

This is a reply to # 1,932,576you're never going to get all the mold out the furniture or your clothing
The absolute very best that you can do is simply get rid of all of your furniture and all of your clothing and then start fresh
I know you'll say you can't afford it but what you really can't afford is to spend the next year freaking out because you cross contaminated your new home
If the furniture is made out of wood or plastic or something hard no problem it will be fine. just clean it well, I recommend first using citrasolv followed up with isopropyl alcohol.
But any kind of cushioning or foam is toast. And all of your clothing and shoes and socks are toast also.

I firmly disagree with your opinion...
There are ways to eliminate mold and mildew. They involve a lot of elbow grease and some really strong chemicals. This is not something for the faint of heart, but it is possible to save clothes and possessions.
OK, for the "average" person I may agree with you, but if a person is willing to spend time on education of how to use the chemicals safely and is willing to put in the cleaning effort afterward, the results are very productive.

This is a reply to # 1,932,659I really appreciate all of the feed backs, but I will have to agree with Tizona comment, and that's not because I'm so desperate to take some belongings. I have done a lot of research on this issue and know for sure that the mold can be cleaned up from some of the items.
I'm well aware of what to use for the cleaning. The only thing I'm not sure of is if I can clean item at my pesent house and just immediatly move them to my new place.
Well, after much comsiderations, I have decided to take my clothing to the laundry mat(the onces that are washable), and after cleaning them take them immediately to my new place. Like have said before I know what to use and do all the cleaning.
The few pieces of furniture which is oak and leather I will clean them outside, then also move them to my new place. Obsolutely , no books.
I've read one of Dr Shoemake book and he said some items can be cleaned successfully using the appropiate equipment and chemicals.
May GOD continue to help all of us who are suffering.

This is a reply to # 1,932,659Hi Tizona, I'm using your idea that you had from another post to clean the car and the few pieces of items I'll be taking. I have ordered one of the Sodium Chlorite from Steve in Florida and the HCL from Alabama. I will also be using a HEPA filtered vacuum cleaner , air purifier and possible a ozone machine for those items that cannot tolerate the chemicals. The remainder of the items will be arriving today for the cleaning up process. Yes, I am preparing to move out of the house.
Thanks for all the inputs from everyone. I'll let you guys know how everything turned out. Maybe my experience will be a blessing to someone. GOD'S Blessing to you all!!!Advertisement

This is a reply to # 1,932,602I totally agree with Tizona. I was in a mold infested home, had to throw out shoes, books, jackets, sofas, etc... My system was so sensitve and damaged that I could not tolerate the odor that was infiltrated in these items. You may be able to keep some clothes but you better clean them in some really hot water or bleach. Your system will tell you fairly quickly if you are not tolerating the item. I think I did keep my hardwood furniture.
The big thing is too move out of your current residence ASAP and find a place that you are comfortable in. You may want to get a really high quality air purifier, especially for when you are sleeping. I don't think you have to worry too much about the old things that you bring into your new residence will contaminate your new residence. You just won't be able to tolerate keeping those old items that are contaminated.
If in doubt throw it out, or keep it in a place where you won't have any exposure to it.

I suggest getting rid of everything. Absolutely everything. I have cross contaminated every place I have been to since moving from my moldy home due to bringing even the smallest of items with me. I got down to just bringing in a few books once and ruined everything, because I thought it was a small enough amount it wouldn't be a big deal.
Please don't make the same mistakes I did. It has been a nightmare having to move and move.
If you think you must keep some things. I would only take hard items such as metal. I wouldn't chance wood or plastic as they can hold on to voc's (volitile organic compounds) emitted by the mold toxins.
Of course anything porous i.e. clothes, shoes, books, towels, furniture, even framed pictures, figurines etc. I couldn't take.

You need to identify the type of mold you are being exposed to.
Bleach does not kill all mold. Ammonia / Bleach / Baking Soda
are some of the killers for different molds.
