I wish that I had better news for you, but I also dealt with that...except in my right eye. I went from perfect vision to legally blind in my right eye. I'm 19 months post removal almost, and I never regained that vision. I'm still trying to figure out what is going on with it. I have another set of vision tests with my opthamologist on April 2, so I will let you know what I find out.
When your daughter gets checked, ask them about Pseudo Tumor Cerebri (since there have been Mirena links with it and the symptoms match.
As of now, my optometrist thinks my right eye is showing signs of something called Keratoconus, but my appointment with the optho on the 2nd is to get a second opinion. I want a second opinion because, if it is Keratoconus, I have to wear hard contacts for life (or have a cornea transplant), and I don't want to do either until I know for SURE that is what I have.
I'll keep you updated. The drastic vision loss in one eye is such a strange Mirena symptom, but I was one of the lucky chosen, too. :-(
