MH and everyone,
I have a friend that just bought a little dog that is a lab/chow mix. She weighs about 15 pounds and is 2 months old. She had a cold today and was brought into the vet. They gave her ammoxicilian for it.
They dog already had his first vaccination shot before she bough her. Now she has to go for two more appointments for vaccines and one for being spayed. They told the owner that without being spayed she can't get the license for the dog because it was bought from the pound.
I don't know much about dogs and would love some good feedback. Is there any advice or paper work similar to children have for being exempt from getting vaccinated or spayed based on someone's religious grounds?

It sounds like she can get the dog spayed without the vaccinations, right? I will never get my cat vaccinated again, nor will I put flea bombs on her or any other thing. Basically I did what I had to do at the shelter in order to adopt her, but I'll never take her back.- Re: pet vaccinations #19236

This is a reply to # 191,591You can do many NATURAL methods with pets and also you can always rely on Colloidal Ionic Silver, Ozone etc if your not too fussed about all Natural. These will sort any pet out along with proper diets and not this canned muck they call pet food. Stay away from Vaccines and bugger the licence which is nothing but paper meaning NOTHING! Some people go without Romeland Social Security numbers let alone poxy good for nothing dog licences. This system of control totally annoys me

I am not sure how it goes. It sounds like they got the system down pat where you just follow whatever they tell you. You'd have to stick up for yourself and your pet if you want to prevent all of that. I would think spaying or neutering a dog or any animal is pretty cruel in itself. What do you all think about that? Thanks for all the input from everyone.

Now I'd rather not do it, but for the longest time I thought it was the responsible thing to do, keeping the cat population down, etc. But in order to adopt, they insist on spaying/neutering, so I feel like that is out of your hands, they just come that way, nothing you can do about it. Just keep them from the vet the rest of their little lives. My vet convinced me to put my last cat to sleep--I wish I had never listened to her.

This is a reply to # 191,630Do you think fasting a pet would get at accumulated metals from a vaccine? If they are like humans in this regard, then theoretically one could remove preservative metals by fasting their pet. Question is, how long would be suitable and what should they consume on their fast? One would think it'd have to shorter than 2 weeks and perhaps organic grass??

This is a reply to # 191,648I just read a book that states dogs and horses have the same as humans in many ways. It was a book on the human mind written in 1800's and better than I suspected it would be.
The Amish healer fast a horse for 21 days and also just about any animal you can imagine. He lets them have grass and water.
Today the animal cops will beat you up and take your life away from you if you so much as touch an animal in a manner that they don't think is proper and by proper it means you pay a vet huge $$$ to kill your pet slowly.
The animal cops being the ama for the vets, or the inforcers! Naturally there are plenty of people who do abuse animals, but today society has went nuts. You can kick a stray dog off your property and go to jail.
If you tied a dog up for 21 days and fed it only water and green grass under its feet and your nosey neighbor turned you in, most likely we could watch you on TV when they come to get you! By the way, they do the same if you only fed mom and dad water and grass for 21 days as well!!!!!!

Being inside a house is not a wise place to fast an animal, they need the grass and dirt. Cats in general know how to eat and need no help. They like mice and bugs and do well on them. Fasting an animal only to return the animal to commercial dog or cat food will not acheive much. The civilized dog/cat normally only gets sick once, then they die. All animals perish when ill, Nature provides for this, they don't struggle to live like humans do.
The captive house pet is 100% under your control and they must eat what you supply. If they become destructive you have to use a cage while they have to form knew eating habits, or let them go.

This is a reply to # 191,587As you may guess, I own Chow Chow dogs. Vaccinations are the worst thing that you can do to a dog; I have first hand experience.
The vaccinations routine set up by the vet is a money making machine for the vet; constant annual vaccinations do not benefit the dog. If you do some research on the internet you can find information (substantiated by the manufacturors of the vaccine) that the effect of a vaccine lasts 7 years +.
My vet insisted that I get annual vaccinations. I was stupid and did what I was told. After 7 years of annual vaccinations, one dog got lymphoma (cancer of the Lymph nodes) right after the annual vaccinations were given. I had to put this dog down. The sister to this dog got autoimmune disease, also right after the vaccinations.
The autoimmune disease first manifested itself right after the annual injections at the vet. The dog's nose started bleeding and blistering. The disease is terrible and stressful on the dog. The fur started falling out. The vet prescibed prednizone which is a steroid. I have been nursing this dog for two years now and I am finally seeing some improvement. It was MH that got me on the right track to cure the dog. I took her off of manufactured dog food. She gets a lot of vegetable oils (like olive). I have added more greens (like barley and wheatgrass) to the organically grown meat that I give the dog. The dog has a yard and will also eat fresh grass. I am not sure if the dog will ever get back to normal, but she is hanging in. I also get the dog accupunture treatments once a month along with Chinese herbs. The treatments and the herbs cost about $150.00 a month.
Bottom line, stay away from the vaccinations.
